IKONIKA - Hum+Buzz / Hyperdub / Planet Mu
http://facebook.com/pages/Official-Ikonika/248446792010
With her brilliant debut release 'Please', Ikonika firmly established her place in the Dubstep landscape. Her unique sound continued to progress with further releases on Hyperdub and Planet Mu, as well as a stunning remix of DJ Mujava's 'Township Funk' (Warp). Ikonika's music combines melodic synth patterns, driving drums, melancholic sub bass and unorthodox song structures, simultaneously heartfelt and heavy. Her tracks have been supported by everyone from Kode9, Martyn and Mary Anne Hobbs (BBC Radio 1) to Rob Da Bank (BBC Radio 1) and Flying Lotus.
As an in demand DJ, her sets showcase the constantly mutating underground sounds of the UK, spanning from the freshest Dubstep and Funky dubplates to the classic foundations of House and Garage. With her debut album due for release on Hyperdub in early 2010, a raft of remixes and a busy DJ schedule, Ikonika is certain to fulfil her potential as one the UK's brightest stars.
DJ Mag:
"If Bjork made dubstep instrumentals, this is what might come out"
The Guardian:
"Ikonika melds the genre's juddering bass with Aphex Twin-style melodic mischief"
NME:
"Another extraordinary Hyperdub artist is Ikonika"
Pitchfork:
"A production style that seems to be approaching synth melodies in an original way"

KAHN - Punch Drunk / A Future Without / The Sureskank Convention
http://facebook.com/pages/Kahn/73686718667
With several releases under his belt, Kahn is definitely one to watch. Like no other artist in the Dubstep community, Kähn will take you on a lurid journey through some of his most exclusive collection of tunes.
A talent discovered by exceptional minds at Punch Drunk. His dazzling debut vinyl, ‘Like We Used To’ is a powerfully built 130bpm swinger, stroking fragrant female vocal into orgiastic glossolalia over clipped 2-step and seasick subs copulating like Zomby and SBTRKT. ‘Helter Skelter’ is more exothermic, radiating stereo spirals of cascading lazer synths on a halfstep bump and grind akin to the recent Objekt 12″.
As a member of the Sureskank Collective, alongside players like Gemmy, Superisk and newcomer Vessel, Kahn’s roots go a little deeper in to the history of Bristol club nights.
He is huge and frankly, not to be missed.

BLACKSMIF - Hit & Hope / Synchronicity / Round The Houses
http://facebook.com/blacksmif - http://soundcloud.com/blacksmif
"North London genre-juggler, Blacksmif, welds together elements from over two decades of musical exploits into bass maidens that should get the likes of Gilles Peterson nodding their heads in sonic agreement once they find out about him."
(words by Errol Anderson - The Independent Blogs / MTV's Urban Blog - The Wrap Up / Decibel Soup)
"Eclectic electronica producer - 'Blacksmif' is the moniker of London-based-and-bred Yemi Olagbaiye. The strength of Blacksmif, much as his name suggests, lies in his ability to carefully forge and meld a host of genres, melodies and instruments into one signature sonic formula. Manipulated samples at the heart of his tracks resonate over crackling vinyl effects and combine with synthesised hooks. If he carries on coming up with this kind of atmospheric, spine-tingling produce, he’s bound to attract widespread attention soon..."
(words by Dan Moss - Somethin' Else / Radio 1)
"Blacksmif's epic sample clusters and crackled beats have brought him quick attention as he edges the burial-step sound forward but its his rich jazz tinged chords and lushness that are making the likes of Mr Scruff and Gilles Peterson take note."
(words by Timothy 'Landslide' Land - Hospital Records / Round The Houses / Landmass)

BOBBY TANK - Vermin Street / Prime Dub
http://facebook.com/bobbytankofficial - http://soundcloud.com/bobbytank
Bobby Tank, a fast rising star on the dubstep scene, quietly emerged from the ether a little over a year ago. He is now evolving the genre as a face of the post-dubstep movement. His music, an aggressive mix of grooving 80’s funk and glitch heavy beats, escapes simple definition. Tank, a Harrow boy, has perhaps described his music best, likening it to, “Rick James riding a flying unicorn along Orion's belt whilst smoking a crack pipe.” His greatest inspiration is Michael Jackson, whose dance moves he sought to imitate when he was 5. He firmly believes music’s greatest era was the 80’s.
