You must have pushed him over the edge for him to end up throwing a baby at you.
Did you reply to his texts with a random youtube video?

My view, has changed over time. I was largely cynical as a teen (15-18ish) and barely had any relationships. Now I'm 20, at uni and think that if you feel like theres something, don't be a pussy, just fucking act on it. There are far bigger mistakes and shit to make in later life and you shouldn't worry about them now.
Now, by act on it, I don't mean go fucking mental - I know 2 people who are engaged to partners already, both 18 - with it. Approach it with a reasonable attitude; what can you get from it? Will it be fun? Don't think too far ahead, whatever happens happens and if it goes to shit, then hopefully you learn something.

We were such good friends though...
If I talked to him now I would probably just say...
"What the fuck are you doing..."
and he would probably start laughing..

Re: To single or not to single.
the problem is 99% of girls are fully crazy, was with my ex for almost 2 years, split up with her and she turns into a psycho. women are secretly crazy even if they dont seem it. being single is good, but most of the time i cant be arsed to get laid, i have too low a libido for that shit. relationships are really good when theyre good, and horrific when theyre bad.
Re: To single or not to single.
17's young? at least 3 people had sex in my middle school and they were about 12/13 years old.jaydot wrote:Okay I hear and see a lot of people who are in relationships young, 17, 18, 19.. do you really need to be in a serious relationship at that age or do you need to have different experiences before you do? By that I mean different experiences regarding dating, going out and enjoying life without inhibitions and worries etc etc
I see pros and cons in each but sometimes young people are in relationships for the sake of it I reckon, if it happens I guess it happens but it was never a pressing issue for me, I was too busy getting drunk. It's a bit shit having no companionship, but you don't need be in a relationship to have that.
What do you think?
I agree with your second statement though.

It's about dropping a track at the wrong speed, and it sounding better than the real thing.
Re: To single or not to single.
Pretty much the same dealio with myself - hooked up with some girl, we didn't leave each other's sides after that and 1 month later she moved to a new city with me.Helix [Delay] wrote:just randomly met my gurl at a party once, thought it was a one night hookup or something

There's times when it's awesome, and times when I wish I was on my ones again. My mind is too erratic and my long term and short term concentration to keep a relationship fully at ease, but there are blissful moments.
It's something I certainly wouldn't avoid. There's life, and there's love, and you need to experience them both.

It you stay detached from the relationship it can be quite funny.

When I was single, especially about 18-19, I had a full time job so I was wedged compared to my uni mates, I was blowing £60/70 a night, 3 times a week on going out and doing shit. Definitely more expensive than the odd meal out here and there and presents twice a year.
My advice is just try shit. I went from being in a relationship aged 16-18 that went bad really quickly, so we just split up, then when I could start getting into clubs, hooked up with some clart, some I'm still friends with, some I'm not. That was all good. Then I ended up getting with a girl who was a friend of a friend. Went on a few dates, nothing planned. Been going out for almost 3 years and looking at getting our own place soon. Conversely, I know people who are much happier just blowin' they beans in a hole every now and then. I wasn't gonna miss the opportunity to be with my current girlfriend.
If you're teens/early 20's, take advantage of your age dude. If you wanna get into a relationship now, maybe it'll work out, and it'll be great, and you'll be happy forever. If it doesn't work out, you're still young enough that you (probably) have enough free time and expendable income to go places and meet somebody else and/or fuck anything in your path.
You have enough time to experience both.
Re: To single or not to single.
I'm 19 and been in a relationship for 2 and a half years.
It's good right now, I don't see any reason to end it.
I would say though - it's not really something you can control to a point, you can't end a good relationship really can you?

i was 20 when i met my wife. i'm glad i met her of course, but if we had met a few years later we could have foregone a lot of drama and bullshit i think. college days are just full of melodrama and infidelity...
and yes, 17 is young LOL wtf... damn kids, get off my lawn

Also, my old housemate once said 'when I'm single I feel my life has no meaning'. I rank it as one of the most pathetic things I've ever heard.

Yup. Just take life as it comes, especially when you're in your teens. Leave the over analysis until you're old and desperate.bright maroon wrote:I personally think it's really hard to find someone that is..
#1 compatible enough to be serious with you..
and #2 actually wants to..
so it's important to take advantage of/appreciate what does happen for you..
but there should be no delusional pressure into signing contracts/starting families...etc.
