Purchasing Vinyls?

Post by Manimosity » Wed Dec 21, 2011 2:54 am

Anyone know of a good online vendor? I live in the US and it's difficult to find a good online shop with a good selection of dnb or dub records. Looking across the pond, I can't find a shop with decent shipping rates...

Anybody in the US, where do you purchase your vinyls?

Anybody in the UK, know of a shop with decent shipping?

I'll check these sites out. How are their shipping rates? Some shops tried to charge me shipping PER vinyl, on one check out. Hoping this isn't true everywhere?

i live in the US as well, redeye and bleep are my go to stores, although it's mostly redeye. shipping takes a while, but that's not their fault.

i'd say chemical, the shipping costs aren't TOO bad, and you won't have to pay VAT on it either.

chemical or redeye standard. if you buy 4-6 records and have them shipped to the states you pay less than someone in the UK that has to pay post and VAT

redeye. this time of year shipping times can be long, but january-october usually takes about a week. before shipping records are running about $8. good exchange rate right now. plus we don't have to pay the VAT.

shipping for a 10 record order might run about $15-20, but it's worth it for prices, selection and impeccable service.

+1 for redeye. Great service. Good customer care as well. Had an issue once and I emailed them about it. 30 mins later I got a reply saying 'Im in the pub at the moment. Ill check it for you tomorrow morning.'

Sound bunch of lads.

Vinyls isn't a word. It's just 'vinyl'. As in "Where can I purchase vinyl (records)?"

Don't forget never to send any records back for refund...you'll be losing more than double what you payed.

i've only ever had chemical ask for records back. even after 10 large orders with no issues they still wanted the damaged disc back. i just ate the cost and bought another copy.
