DESCRIPTION

MalLabel Music presents: “Vital Signs: Remixed and Revitalized”, an EP comprised of 3 refixes of unreleased tracks originally penned by San Francisco duo K Theory. On the roster of sequencers looms a diverse group of prominent bass culture fixtures: The Widdler, Omega, and Lippe.

The opening track on the EP features the dark sonic etchings of New Jersey’s dubstep staple The Widdler, with an ominous and darkly enchanting remix of K Theory’s “Inception.” Richly musical and dubby, the track saunters and jives with it’s low end and lush echoscape.

Next in line, is a second remix of K Theory’s “Roll Out,” it’s a darkly inviting dubstep remix by San Luis Obispo’s dubstep upstart Lippe; Spacious, techy, and thoughtfully programmed.

Finally, closing out the EP, the pace is picked up a bit for a stimulating and energetic drumstep rework of K Theory’s “Roll Out” by Denver resident and bass slayer, Omega. This track is full of raunchy bass stabs and crunches, and is a dance floor mover.

The “Remixed and Revitalized” EP closes out an inspiring year for San Francisco based MalLabel. The label has huge plans for another year filled with fresh and diverse releases from around the world of underground bass music.

SUPPORT FOR VITAL SIGNS: REMIXED AND REVITALIZED

Afromonk – “Digging the Lippe rmx, got a nice balance of melodic syntths mixed with the crunchy bass, think it would appeal to a larger more diverse crowd. But thats my 2 cents, I am a fan of a bit more melodic music.”

Mochipet – “The Widdler, Lippe, and Omega how can you go wrong with this one? !”

Odeed of HD4000 – “Another slammin’ remix from Mr. Widdles.”

John Somejerk – ” The “latest and greatest” release from MalLabel Music certainly keeps the momentum built that they’ve established as one of the United State’s premium electronic music labels. The Widdler flips “Inception” in a way that nods towards the classic dubstep sound that has unfortunately made it’s departure as the definition of the sound. The remix of “Roll Out” from Lippe is melodic but dark, while the drumstep remix from Omega kicks things up a notch with Datsik-esque wobbles. ”

The Frim – “The Widdler remix is so sick, nice reason programming! ”
