Just because it's not dubSTEP, does not automaticly mean it's shit. It's just categorised wrong. I still think it's (either progressive- or figit) house music. Just because some of his songs are 140 bmp, does not mean it's dubstep. There's probably tons of ballads and (stoner) rock songs that have a 140 bpm tempo. But honestly... I don't know who is to blame for the fact that people have put the tag "dubstep on it". It's probably not Skrillex himself that did this. I can't remember him ever saying: "Yeah man! I make dubstep!". So yeah... for me it's rather confusing than something to get mad about.

But hey, he still makes pretty tight mixes, and has certain interesting sounds that we can abuse and steal

54 seconds, Not saying i've got a true Skrillex sound because I wasn't really aiming for it in the first place, but I processed this in Massive with no extra VST effects and got in my opinion a better sound than people who have about 30 wowfilters and crushers etc
