EQ change in Ableton Live

Post by LaykoDubstep » Thu Dec 29, 2011 7:01 am

Hello, i'm trying to create a build up in a song i'm making and i'm a fruity loops user who got a mac and am trying to figure out ableton, i'm working on a song right now but I can't figure out how to change the EQ/pitch/sound of a specific sound.

For example how "D-Jahsta - Slug Bass" builds up with each the EQ increasing with each clip of the wobble. Any ideas on how to do that in ableton? Thanks a lot! :)

what you mean the EQ increasing? Well EQ8 is abletones native EQ plug in that you can find in the devices, or if your talking about sweeping a filter, use "Auto filter" in ableton, and automating is super easy in ableton, whenever you move a knob on a effect device, it will automatically show up in the automation lane for said track.

I was listening to your signature tune, and I remembered that chord progression from somewhere, give this an ear:

Alright yeah that's what I meant thank you so much, another quick question.

Let's say i have 8 clips in a row and i want each clip's filter starting from the first 1 to go from basically nothing of a sound, all the way to the 8 clip to the actual sound that's not affected by the filter. How do I increase each one a little bit each time automatically and equally?

Move the knob on that filter that does said effect, hen you will see a pink line show up in arrangement on those clips. That is toe automation clip. And just draw it going down or up( which tells the older to move that knob up and down )
