My mom used to make it for me. It's tasty. It's like bread and a fried egg in one. Sprinkle on some sugar and it's savoury and sweet at the same time.

For the no-sweet-stuff for breakfast crew, don't you have baked beans with your fry-ups? What about cereal?

I've had eggy bread, but never with the icing sugar - is that what makes it "french"?

I was a sweet/salt sceptic until I ordered pancakes in the States and they came with maple syrup AND bacon on the side... it's actually delicious.

Beans with a fry up = STANDARD. No ketchup (use the beans), brown sauce for the SAUSAGE.

beat up a couple of eggs in a bowl and add a splash of milk, some cinnamon, sugar, maybe a pinch of salt and whatever else you might like (a little nutmeg, brown sugar, maybe just more sugar n cinnamon)

mix it up and soak the bread in it on either side
then fry the bread as though it were your egg. its like a sweet delicious fried egg intertwined with fried toast.
The very best bread to use is called Chala. it is jewish bread, and it makes the absolute best french toast

dust the finished product with some powdered sugar if you really want to get diabetes, and serve buttered with syrup.

no idea why its called French though.

Ahhh... Beans on toast with Encona...

THAT is true love...

If you want to be a bit naughty, add a small amount of butter to the beans
when you're cooking it...

so if french toast IS eggy bread - what the hell is bread buttered on both sides
and then grilled (on both sides) called? Coz I always thought THAT was french
toast :corntard:
