I've been to raves where there were loads of older guys who'd been around for the real raves.
they were stnuc. I'm glad I'm not part of their generation.

Re: Charlie Brooker on clubs...thoughts?
im pretty sure its true that the rave era came and went, not just because they were first, and the music was new, or whatever.. just cuz it was a real period of time, and it definitely ended.
but remember all young kids think they invented the wheel, and all older folks forget how crazy younguns can really get. so both sides believe in earnest that they partied harder
I've been to one real rave, gigantic illegal warehouse business. it was an awesome party but i'd trade a thousand raves in exchange for one great dubstep gig

Here a beer is around as much as in a pub, they play good music, definitely not always too loud.hudson wrote:Clubs suck. I hate top 40 music (all they play around here), I hate paying $5 for a beer, I hate not being able to hear anyone, and they're the absolute last place I'd ever want to meet a girl. I've been to clubs for friends birthdays and shit, and I try to enjoy it, but I always just end up drinking alone on a couch and playing with my phone.
Just need to find the good ones.

you should get out of 'winnipeg' and experience some decent clubs then manhudson wrote:Clubs suck. they CAN be like adult versions of Chuck E Cheese, pure entertainment
Re: Charlie Brooker on clubs...thoughts?
Oh, there are clubs I'd rip my teeth out to get to, but man, as much as I'd like to check out Low End Theory or something, it's probably not happening anytime soon.noam wrote:you should get out of 'winnipeg' and experience some decent clubs then manhudson wrote:Clubs suck. Every club here is shit, I'm starting a night with my friend though, not at a club, but it'll be like a club, just with good music and art and stuff.
