DMZ LP003 - LOEFAH ??
Re: DMZ LP003 - LOEFAH ??
did someone really expect this to happen? loefah always seems to have a lot of plans, that he is serious about. problem is he most likely changes his mind before he puts them into action. and coki said he'd wait until mala OR loefah did another dmz plate. he didn't say there would probably be a loefah 12.

loefah is on a different thing now, all that was his old stuff, it won't ever happen. Would still be nice

but by saying that, he's acknowledging the possiblity.baddis98 wrote:did someone really expect this to happen? loefah always seems to have a lot of plans, that he is serious about. problem is he most likely changes his mind before he puts them into action. and coki said he'd wait until mala OR loefah did another dmz plate. he didn't say there would probably be a loefah 12.
IT'S STILL POSSIBLE

not necessarily. yeah, it's a long shot, but back in April 2011, he saidmobes wrote:loefah is on a different thing now, all that was his old stuff, it won't ever happen. Would still be nice
http://paranoiseradio.blogspot.com/2011 ... rview.htmlQ: What are Loefah's personal plans right now? Will you release anything this year at Swamp or other label? We’ve seen the Pinch collaboration in Tectonic which was quite heavy, what's next from Loefah the producer?
A: Loefah the producer is still working! I hope to have released on DMZ by the end of 2011. I ’m not planning to release on swamp myself. I ’d like to keep the two separate.

Don't want to sound like a dickhead but the least my guy could do is drop a line as to whether this is/could possibly/is never happening. Because if it's the latter at least we can give up hoping and forget we ever heard those riddims, whereas if it's a possibility then we'll know that this 10 page thread and all those years of listening to deadout quality youtube clips wasn't in vein.... Clue us in a bit don, you've been silent for too long.

My recorded all vinyl mixes are here...

I fucking agree. This is one thing I really hate about the bass music scene. Is the whole hush hush, exclusive, pretentious, my tunes are too good for you peons to have, bullshit. If you're never going to give people the ability to listen to your tunes (obviously in exchange for purchasing a release) then I feel that you just shouldn't fucking play them at all. It's because of this very reason that I refuse to listen to mixes, radio shows, anything like that. I hate hearing some of the most beautiful tunes go to waste.Blerim wrote:Don't want to sound like a dickhead but the least my guy could do is drop a line as to whether this is/could possibly/is never happening. I mean I really fucked up when I stumbled over Cluekid - Dolphin on youtube. I swear I'll just fucking die if that doesn't get a release.

Yea cornbread you is missin the point, as mala says... Just because you create a piece of music doesn't mean you have to sell it. And at times when a tune gets released that has been sought after it loses it's shine for some reason, big names stop playing it etc. just a beat for ex

Nah, I probably should have clarified I wasn't talking about Yours and actually that track made it more probable that this thing was Loefah as he's sampled Wu-Tang elsewhere. As I mentioned this dub has a vocal sample that is the same as Wu-Tang's - "We are watching their whole crew, around the clock" is the beginning of it. Not sure whether it samples the Wu-Tang track (Intro track of The W) or the original film (The Iron Monkey).
EDIT: Actually it's definitely sampled straight out of the film as it's a longer vocal sample in the dub than the Wu-Tang track.
Can't say I've heard this one, would love some audio if anybody knows the track ID.

It' on this Youngsta mix at 1:14:27 on the tracklist, download link for the set is also there. I think I'm more for the idea it's Horsepower Productions now even though I'm not aware of them having any other unreleased dubs, what do you think?

Re: DMZ LP003 - LOEFAH ??
i know that loe is on a different flex now but if there was to be a release then it wouldn't exactly be new material, would just be old dubs that mala has kickin around or whatever so it's definitely possible. he still plays 140 sets (like he will be at fabric in a couple of weeks) so i reckon it may well happen some time in 2012 but maybe just not particularly soon.
as for any potential tracks for a release i dont have a clue, im totally perplexed by how they choose to release tracks so it could literally be anything. i mean who really expected 'think your gone' to be on coki's EP? what a waste of a side...

also i do think that there are some tracks that just shouldn't be release. i mean you go to some nights specifically to hear tunes from those DJs, if they aint got that then they're gonna lose out.hendramarshall wrote:Yea cornbread you is missin the point, as mala says... like i really badly wanted swish to come out but it's kinda less special now, and as charlie said those recent tempa tunes (although i still fucking love ruffhouse). this is why badman VIP should never come out imo
