last night turned out amazing! pure vibes, none of that NYE cash cow business with exorbitant ticket or drink prices -- free entry, spliffs passed all round the place, massive bottle of rum and ginger, anti war dub shaking the place to its core.

Only just discovered this album, absolutely sick!

Anyone recommend me some more kinda strange/experimental kinda hip-hop like this?

Yeah this album was great, pulled no punches, just a man who took fuck loads of drugs in his younger days :w:
On a similar(ish) tip I'd recommend newest albums/mixtapes from Main Attrakionz, Curren$y, A$AP Rocky (this one moreso than the others), Lil B, Big KRIT, DJ Quik, Ghostpoet and Shabazz Places. Peep the Clams Casino and araabMUZIK mixtapes as well, and you may possibly enjoy the latest James Pants album.

Just realised how much hip-hop I've downloaded and listened to this year, got all of them, just none of them hit the spot as well as this! Is his earlier stuff like this? (I know his Cool Kids stuff isn't really similar)

Being a smartarse is so much fun sometimes. A guy known as a semi-dick in the office was just whittering on to a bunch of people about how he can see Mars out of the window... "the evening star"

Wandered over, first of all correcting him that the Evening/Morning Star would be Venus... and then, once he'd pointed out the dot, that the light he was looking at was MOVING. Yeah, that's just the 16:09 from Heathrow to Geneva, dude...
