i actually looked into alchemy before, does look pretty nice.

check out FAW Circle as well man, I bought it over Massive as I much prefer its sound... the Prophet modeled filters are superb, and the functionality is similar to Massive with drag and drop modulation routing. I think it sounds heaps better though. You can get it for about 65 bucks or something, great value.. and it can do all sorts of sick wave morphing/wave scanning synthesis stuff as well.

Good choice zebras amazing once you get used to the interface the possibilities for sound design are pretty endless. I here after diva been released there going to ad sampler to zebra

Zebra is great for sure.
I`m also a big fan of Rhino which has FM , additive, subtractive, waveshaping, sample import, etc.

yeah its nice, but isn't fm8 just fm? I'm kinda looking for a hybrid synth.

does anyone know if massive can do fm? i think massive is a subtractive + wavetable synth but I'm not sure if it has fm capabilities, at least to modulate 1 osc with another?

i just had a look at synthmaster and didnt really know a synth like that existed..
i made something in synthmaker for myself to use FM and PM with wavedrawing on my own samples as a experiment but it sometimes aliases when going an octave or two from the original note (which is what most fm synths made in synthmaker do anyway)
hopefully synthmaster sounds great with all those features so il demo it and see what its like!
also @escapes.. sample input in zebra?? sounds awesome!
although you can use zebrify to add zebra's FX onto incoming audio incase no one was aware of that?

+2 on Alchemy. Stunning sound from it but can be somewhat CPU intensive so be prepared to bounce stuff to audio.

Also, Rob Papen "Blue". My workhorse. My go to synth in nearly every track. I find it wonderfully easy to use and very intuitive. Look it up
