Same here, but they fucking ruined my untrue sleeve. On plain black sleeves fair enough, but not album cover art, annoys the shit out of me :a:

Agree, I really relish the art on the sleeves and the over all aesthetic value that sleeves hold. Might sound weird, but it's just a personal thing. I really hate the stickers as it can potentially ruin your sleeve, and that's a horrible thing. Though I didn't have a pleasant ordering experience, I could have easily gotten over that. It's just when you fuck with the actual product, I find that extremely annoying and unnecessary. I understand the stickers probably help keep things organized and are a quick way to tell what is what, but surely there is a more reasonable way they affecting the consumer's product which you are selling to them. It is because of this that I will not order again from Chemical, until I hear they have stopped the stickers.

i was spending an absolute fortune with chem every month and other sites too but id always spend at least £100 there a month and sometimes £200....i felt this wasnt appreciated a huge amount especially when there was a dispute over a dpd issue when i recieved no card and the records went back to the depot....they tried charging me the extra postage costs rather than take it up with dpd when it was quite clear they were at fault

this wasnt resolved and i banned myself from chemical for ages and stuck to redeye and other smaller online places like normal records amongst others

i succumbed in the end as they have all the exclusives but i was always hurt by that quibble over a few quid that they refused to back down on considering the thousands id spent with them...they were third on my rbs statement after tesco and hmv (i work there) on places i spent money and this just didnt seem to be an issue

ive banned myself from buying wax in general now but yeah i didnt think it was the best service.....at hmv i give the best service i can as its my job there selling high end headphones and tablets etc and expect to get the same service from others

not meaning to be bitchy but it was what i experienced...redeye never had an issue...the best service i ever experienced online record shop wise was normanrecords http://www.normanrecords.com/ i will share the secret now as im no longer bagging anything and everything...great site and great friendly professional service and great prices too

Man, I'm really let down. So earlier, in a drunken rage, I posted some mindless insults towards chemical. Though they were legitimate, they have now even been further validated. I finally got my records, and out of 10 records, only 1 of them plays without skipping horribly. I assume this is due to warping as when I watch them playing I can definitely see an obvious warp in them. However, I really don't feel like the warp that is there should be enough to make the record unplayable, although my knowledge of the severity of warped records is quite infantile...

PS. Yeah those stickers drive me nuts.

Lol, 9 out 10 records warped? Are you sure man?

If 90% of your records are skipping, sure it's not your needles?

I use both Redeye & Chemical; never had any problems with either. Fast shipping etc.

they have a good service but the stickers ruined my sleeves of skull disco
It's about dropping a track at the wrong speed, and it sounding better than the real thing.

All a matter of taste really. As long as the vinyls sound weighty, I don't really care if there's a sticker on my sleeve or not.

yea sounds like a hardware or calibration issue mate. or just reallyreallyreallyrealllyreallyreallyreally bad luck, doubt that tho... have purchased dozens of records from chemical and none have ever arrived with a scratch/skip. one, maybe two, have been mildly warped but not bad enough to affect playback whatsoever.

I've placed three orders with Chemical. The first two went very smoothly and I got both before Xmas. Actualy I only waited a week to receive each shipment.
Scooped up Airbreaker on test pressing on a whim on Jan 26. Have yet to receive and pretty sure I never will.

So I popped over on Red Eye, and got a bunch of a records a couple of days ago including the Dem A Talk white label.
We'll see which one gets here first! I'm placing good money on Red Eye.

I've had a couple issues with chemical in the past. namely them sending me the wrong record in the right sleeve.. which was a bit annoying, especially when i called them long distance from the states, they said they would send me the correct one, and nothing ever happened. most of the other times i'm happy with the fast deliveries and good selection, but yeah i feel you guys on the sticker thing.
