as for the vinyl-only discussion, agreeing with the "their label, their rules" comments.

When you guys own your own label that releases some nexx level tracks, then you can call the shots. Want to sell vinyl only but play the web's yourself? I won't have a problem, you've earnt it. In an age were there are hundreds of readily available mixes on the internet, exclusivity is important in keeping fans coming back to you, to keep listening for those naughty little exclusives that you know no one else will be playing.

Anyone got any info on this supposed rinse cd? Can't get enough of the Soul What remixes

With you on this, there really needs to be some sort of Soul What Remix EP. Hope there is in the not too distant future.

Yeah I really like the Micky Pearce remix of Soul What. A remix EP would be amazing indeed.

Btw, when is the Swamp81 show on Rinse exactly? Looking at the timetable I take it it's at the same time as yunx (11 till 1) but on wednesday?

Absolute tune. Wish I knew the ID. Know it's by Dusky (according to chunky on the last swamp show) but that's about it

Yeah I love that tune. Loefah played it in his recent guest mix for XFM. http://www.mixcloud.com/MaryAnneHobbs/l ... =cloudcast
So would be great if any1 could somehow get the tracklist of that mix...

So far this is what we've got:

01. Boddika - Soul What VIP
02. Boddika - Soul What (Mickey Pearce Remix)
03. ID
04. ID
05. Pearson Sound - Footloose
06. Boddika & Joy Orbison - Swims
07. ID
08. ID
09. Boddika - ID
10. ID

Whilst I'm a big fan of a lot of Swamp 81 releases, I always feel like there's somebody out there doing that style better. It's hard to explain. Maybe it's just that a lot of the tunes get seriously rinsed months before they come out that the tunes lose their effect on me. Swims for example. I've bought it, but I think I'd have to leave it some months before I started playing it, whereas I hadn't really heard much of "Music Deep Inside" and I'm really feeling that at the mo. Same with "Work Them" when it came out.

Like I said, hard to explain the feeling that I have about Swamp. Don't take this as a knock though, still think it's one of the most consistently quality labels out there. Maybe it's the fact that they were a really figurehead in the 130-135 movement that has started, and now that sound seems to be everywhere, its lost its impact. I'm rambling anyway haha.

Big up to Loefah and everyone else involved.

being someone who is also sort of getting into this kinda sound, what labels would you say are similar to swamp? i mean i've been listening to some other stuff that's kind of similar but it doesn't seem to appeal to me as much so just wondering what you'd recommend since you run that blog and seem to know this sorta stuff lol
