For EDM: Lost Tribe - Gamemaster
For dubstep specifically: Loefah - Goat Stare

In both cases these weren't the first electronic/dubstep tracks I heard but were the ones that got me into those genres in a serious way.

I remember putting a Mt Eden song on rinse. Didn't even know it was called dubstep. Then I started doing some research and heard about burial. The first song I heard of "Forgive". And I didn't understand it but I kept listening to it. Eventually I fell in love, and then started listening to kode 9 and other stuff from hyper dub

Snap 'the power' or Charlie by the Prodigy were the first tunes I was really into.

I guess no one dubstep tune because was into dark garage and breaks and grime. Suppose 'what' by wonder or some of the early macabre unit or slaughter mob things. Or 'the knowledge' by toasty as already mentioned.

I wasn't really into EDM, maybe because all edm i knew was some shitty trance and gaytechno my mate used to liaten to, but it kinda started to be interesting when i heard "Reanimation" by Linkin Park

Don't laugh i used to listen to lot of LP and i still do sometimes, thoigh their new stuff is meh. Anyway it didn't affecr me that much.

Then i heard Clubbed to death by Rob Dougan (background music in a parkour video)
And i somehow started to appreciate EDM/Instrumental stuff, but i was still more into other things, american rap mainly

that could be 2006/07.

Then my cousin's bf gave me some music and he told me he plays dubstep, i was like, what's that? And he gave me an MP3 of the Dubstep Warz show

Tl;dr?

The tune that got me into dubstep was Haunted by Coki, i cut it from the mix and rinsed and rinsed and rinsed it.
And then rinsed some more

I cant really remember what the first tune that got me into it was, but I can definately remember playing this to mates when I was first getting into the sound and no one having a fucking clue what the point of it was (no sub). All changed now.

edit: pretty much just any skream tune lol, summer dreams and stagger being the big 2 from his album i think

i'd heard dubstep mentioned before i got into it cause people kept going on about the burial mercury music prize nomination, but i didn't know what it actually was due to my lack of interest in anything electronic but house/minimal techno at the time (this was about 2009).

Looked on wikipedia dubstep article one day and heard these tracks on youtube:
