Kontakt 4 Glide/Portamento

Post by bigfootspartan » Thu Dec 09, 2010 2:59 am

So I've just spent the last hour googling how to add portamento to my Kontakt 4 multi's :u: :u: :u:

Anyone know how to do it? I've checked and for some reason I don't have the Unison/Portamento script everyone talks about. I'm not sure, maybe it's only in Kontakt 3. I've also found a "glide" modulator. Everyone says to just drag it into my multi. But it doesn't do anything haha. Where should I drag it? (I've tried dragging it everywhere I could think of).

Also, the manual seems to explain dick all. It goes into nice detail on what all the parameters in the "glide" modulator do, but it doesn't say how to activate it/drag it into the multi. I'm sure it's something simple, but fuck me if it's not an awkward program to get around.

It's been three months and i still haven't been able to figure it out haha. I wish the manual was a bit more specific with everything...

there is a glide module filed under "others", you can assign that to the pitch in the settings. however, it's still no portamento (but i'm not even sure if thats possible with samplers)

Samplers can do portamento. Can't recall how to do it in kontakt. I only have 3.5, though... Will look at this when I get a chance.

script editor > presets > factory > effects > performance > Unisono - Portamento

Nice little tool for making your sounds wider/detuning as well.

I've always pasted scripts from notepad into the script editor and saved them. Kontakt does have its own portamento/glide now by default in there as mentioned. You can paste scripts in there too though, there's lots of them online.
