I'm not one for applications whilst mixing at all, however this does look alot better then that glass table thing a while back.

My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.
please move to production forum, where this thread actually belongs.

Why copy "analogue" systems when other existing digital djing platforms are arguably more simple/straightforward?
cdjs are pretty similar to most all-digital midi based setups, but people are just too uncomfortable to admit this and go for the cheaper and sometimes more useful setup, out of some sort of bullshit "purist" sensibility which is pretty much voided when you drop all-vinyl mixing.
don't get me wrong, i love watching vinyl sets and hope that the big names can keep it up, but digital djing technology surpassed playing cds on setups which just mimic vinyl a while ago.
the aforementioned ipad app is just a giant anachronism.

I admit I'm a bit iJealous for the MBP. But not for an iPad. We got one at home and it's fun to play with but that's all.
Also fun to play around with it as a midi controller (some great apps for that), but I still prefer the ye olde buttons and knobs for when it comes to dj'ing and producing.
didnt stanton make a whole heap of touchscreen dj equipment.... and wasnt it really shite?
