My Bloody Valentine's reunion didn't suck...possibly because there was no new music.

Yeah big up Jesus for dying for our sins and netting us a public holiday in the process.

Also, hot cross buns.

Which reunion sucked? Like... all these reunions from the last few years were awesome. GY!BE, Guided By Voices, My Bloody Valentine, Faith No More, Slint... (well.. that was like 2006 or 2007 wasn't it? maybe not that recent) Got high hopes for the Afghan Whigs as well.

Kyuss Lives kinda sucked, doe. But it wasn't a real reunion.

Really? I thought they'd never get back together, money talks eh. I did think they'd be one of the few bands that would stick to their principles and not reform. Amazing band, awesome live but tbh aren't they all a bit old? They won't be able to throw themselves about as much as they used to so won't be that crazzzy which was part of the whole appeal.

Refused getting back together evokes exactly the same feelings.

I know this is a miserable post but have seen too many reunions in the last few years that have just been weak - Gorilla Biscuits, Underdog, Insted, Negative Approach, Smashing Pumpkins and countless numbers of other c-grade punk bands trying to make a quick buck.
Recently reborn and relocated to glasgow

I don't know if I can ever forgive them for splitting up 2 weeks before I was going to see them in Wales. But, then again....

Listening to Deloused for the first time since I was like.. 16 or some shit now, btw. If this album is the best mixed album of all time I don't know what is. Too bad the mastering job ruined it.

Frances the Mute IMO is mixed even more perfectly. Too bad that got ruined as well cos their label wouldn't let them have the track Frances the Mute on the same album cos "it'd make it too long". Same reason they had to split up Cassandra Gemini into parts. Frances the Mute was supposed to be the opener for the album but I guess we're lucky it still got released so that digitally at least you can the album as intended. Another example of a major label fucking up creative vision.

I have the actual track Frances The Mute on a limited edition 12" picture disc...

Is Frances The Mute just as brilliant as De-Loused? I was to scared to listen to it as De-Loused is probably the most perfectly composed and produced album I have ever heard.

Meh The Mars Volta is kinda gimmicky and cheesy, tbh. The first EP was pretty good (Concertina's a great tune) and Deloused did have some moments, but they're kinda easy to get tired of.

Yes fucking yes! I saw this news floating around aswell a few days ago!

I think it's funny that we are on a dubstep forum, but that some people are also interested in the 'other' music style that i like aswell.. Big up for that!

I've heard that there's a show planned in Belgium somewhere in the last quarter of 2012! So siked about this.. been wanting to see them for so long, so glad they reunited.. I do hope the shows are gonna have the same vibe as u can see on the youtube videos where they perform live!
