Rap, Hip Hop, and some Dubstep drum samples (43MB, 120+)

Post by ChadDub » Sat Jan 14, 2012 5:19 am

So last week I had over 20K drum samples, and I went through them all and compiled all the best ones I had. Has 87 kicks, 68 snares, 15 claps, some claves, 18 toms, some 808s, closed and open hats, crashes, some rides, and a chime sample.

Yeah guys, hope you like em and find some use for them. There's quite a bit of variety and personally these are the best samples I've come by since I started producing. Some of them I synth'd myself, some of them I layered myself, and then most of them are just stuff I've downloaded in the past year or so.

Generally most of my samples came from this big ass pack Armand sent me, and then I had some other big ass folders I got from youtube and stuff. All the packs I download are huge, but only come with 20 useable sounds.

The kick and snares from Skrillex and Korn 's Get Up track are in this pack, which is obviously not legal to use in your own production. And the drums from We Will Rock You...???? I have to wonder how many of these samples are truly royalty free. Can't say I trust this pack, definitely won't use it.

It's all good man, no one cares about drum samples in terms of sueing people and shit. You think every producer on earth records and/or synthesizes their own drums? No. No one's going to notice either way. A few of the samples I even actually took straight from song's like that Koan kick and some dirty808 kicks.

Really? That's interesting.. I have some kicks and claps from a Beyonce track and from a La Roux track but I never use them cause of copyright, more for inspiration. Would be sweet to use them if it doesn't actually matter.
