best: neverland, changes, mud or summer dreams
worst: ( incredibly not mentioned before) scary monsters and shits, just i don't understand this song, i don't find it even filthy, i mean, with sweetshop for example, i hate it but in a way i understand that some (not very clever) guys like it, but scary monsters is just horrible it just don't enter into my mind i don't see anything in that song... :u:

I never understood why people use the word ''filthy'' to describe brostep, I mean when I hear the word filthy or dirty I'd rather think of Vex'd ?

nah, Vex'd were more grime imo. I'd say Coki, Jakes, Bar9, 16bit maybe etc

Best dubstep tune of all time for me still has to be Forever by Quest. Can't explain why, that would only do it an injustice.

I don't mean in terms of genre when I say filth, I meant that the Vex'd albums got that grimey, dirty atmosphere to them that would suit the word ''filth'' more than the ''wobbly'' stuff in my opinion

couldn't agree more, the overly aggy skrillex kind of cheesy filth just seems kinda comical to me, like a bad pardoy of itself... vex'd however are straight up fucking terrifying, proper dark menacing shit

agreed, hate it the term "dark" used to describe that sound as well. dark in the same sense that Hammer Horror is, maybe.

Best... Would be probably Anti-war dub... Yeah, the weight is immense and the rhythm is just infectious... It's really one of few tunes i really love to listen to in their entirety.
Stand by quest would be close second, basicaly the same reasons. And third place woulf currently go to Egoless - Back home, that piano is just so beautiful... Almost had me in tears few times :o

Worst... Mmmmh, too many tunes to pick from.

But i'd say Nero - crush on you... Just straight ear rape... That was not a half assed tune, 1/8assed at most.
And this Dubba Johny tune springs to mind too, can't remember much of it, just a guy running around the town in some fuckwit costume (yes it had a video) and an amen break which clashed with the drums.

Best - anything by Skream, Distance, or Kryptic Minds (as well as many other artists). Probably:
Skream - Dutch Flowerz or Rimz or If You Know
Distance - Night Vision or Jungle Fears or Menace
Kryptic Minds - One of Us or Organic or Cold Blooded (with Youngsta)

Also, Anti War Dub by Digital Mystikz, and both Swish and Qawwali by Pinch.

As well as many others

Worst:
FuntCase - Gorilla Flex
HOW THE HELL CAN PEOPLE LIKE THAT SONG? ugghhh

Oh, I meant Heavy Artillery, which is run by Urban Assault. Shame as Shortee & Faust are sick turntablists.

Urban Assault was Aphrodite & Mickey Finn if I'm not mistaken... produced some bangers too. "Bad Ass" is a percy even if it is just a rip off of "Quest" lol

BEST: Cyclops - Distance
The bassline is so damn unique. It has this kind of call and answer thing going on, and the movement is like nothing ive heard before. Every element just interacts so well with the rest of the piece.

WORST: Sweet Shop - Doctor P
I cant listen to this without wanting to rip my earphones to shreds. An absolute load of bullshit kitsch.

Best - Loefah Horrorshow... only because its what started the whole halfstep trend, which is practically the sound that people associate with the genre

Worst - Dr p Sweetshop .... for the same reason as horrowshow, but on the opposite end of the spectrum
