I originally made this mix in March of 2011 as a birthday present for my mother. I never posted it up online...maybe only 8 CDR's total were given out to friends or sold at gigs here in the ATL. Decided last month that perhaps it would be a nice way to pay tribute & respect to post this up online either for his birthday or date of passing. While looking it up I thought I would go with whichever came first.
If you're not that familiar with Wilson Pickett or only know a couple of hits; I hope this will serve as a deeper understanding of this dynamic southern Funk & Soul vocalist.
