Not a good excuse man ^. There are clear rules and saying youre a noob doesnt get you around them. Ill give you feedback anyways though:

Well although its hard to tell from an 8 bar drum loop, i can tell you its actually decent. the bass drum has a nice punch and the snare sounds organic. the only thing i can say is that i dont like the tom/bass drum you introduced at the fourth bar. its just a tad cheesy. other than that its a solid drum beat.

Again its hard to give feedback on such small loops. Id say come back with a 16 or 32 bar loop with maybe some more developed elements and we can actually give effective feedback.

@TiEREX - Your production skills are absolutely fine if you ask me. But, this track sounds like 500 other producers tracks. Try working more on getting your own style instead of just totally copying others. Sorry if this is a bit "harsh" but it had to be said. :D

@rudebrat - Sweet work on the guitar and vocal. But as I told TiEREX: Don't just copy other peoples style completely, try finding your own way around it and make it a bit more original. Great work though, keep it up! :)

@Lectric - Holy sweet mother of fiction-character God, the atmosphere on this one is sooo mean (meant in a good way of course). This is a damn sweet track my man! Only thing I would change here would be the bassline. Fatten it up a bit and maybe put a little bit of reverb on it and I think it would sound absolutely ridiculous! :D

Here's mine. I think I maybe need to work a bit more on the bassline. The intro could use some more elements too I think, but give me your thoughts on this one:

@Crevil, you need some more sub-frequencies in your bassline it sounds a little flat atm. The percussive section at the start is fairly nice, but you should consider a little pad or something just to animate it a bit more.

@KrEs try panning some of those elements to make it sound more dynamic. would also reccomend you layer that open hat a bit, I find it helpful not just to layer kicks and snares but prominent elements of your percussion too. very nice pattern though, and your snare''s very punchy, stands in a nice open space in the mix so far.

@Difference I think your snare's sounding a little weak as it stands. the melody itself is very nice, however, though I'd try adding some extra harmonics just to make it stand out more without overcomplicating things. the sub is very clean sounding, and the bassline marries the rest of the rhythm section nicely.

First WIP of my own since summer. Collaborating here with a mate of mine, I did the percussion, pads, sub, and sampling, he did the mids and rounded off the percussion. what do you think we could do to get it sounding better?

Daftendirekt: It was probably ignored because its already spot on as it is! the only thing i can recommend is maybe bring down the levels on the vocals a tad, and eq a bit of the mids out of them, maybe even put them through a vocoder to give them a more synthesized feel. maybe some little incidental blips or stabs here and there as well. great track though!

hey kres I'm quite the noob too! I mess around with fruity loops every couple months and throw something together aha. But this intro sounds really good, keep at it I really want to see what you can put together.

cosmic surgeon - dark, slow, chilled. I'm feeling it, especially on this rainy day

daft - this one's a killer! I'm loving that intro, it's perfect. I'm really, really loving this tune man! is it up for download?

sorry for my lack of input I don't know much about production. I really only try to make music when I get an "inspiration", which isn't very often(months) But I managed to throw this together last night. I'd really appreciate some input!

My newest one. Felt like doing a song in the key of Skrillex. Recorded all the guitars myself. Still having trouble with mastering phase (limiting, maximizing and multiband compression). Lemme know what you think

Feel like your midrange is too prominant, drums are getting drowned out - just my two pence though.

Really digging the ambience of this - nice work.
If it was my tune there'd be a few more incidentals in there, beats gets a bit repetitive and doesn't really go anywhere, but as its a wip I'm sure you were going to fill it out... :)

any pointers? need to add some pads in i think but don't want to detract from the energy of the beat too much.

rudebrat Very sick song man, everything is nicely mixed together, the vocals rock, the skrillex type growl is really sick, mind me asking what did you use to make it? Fm8? massive? wow filter? ohmicide? I don't need exact tutorial but just a general direction with the right tools if you don't mind me asking?
Everything is amazing nontheless and can't wait to hear more :D

cosmic surgeon You have a very nice foundation for more to compliment your groove and spectrum, it reminds me of some time, like a nostalgic vibe for some reason, I don't know, but I do like where you're going with this, I can't wait to hear more. I would suggest adding a piano then reversing it with a plugin to give a very dreamy, abstract vibe, it would make this tune sound stellar, but that's my opinion , keep it up sir!

daftendirekt Very sexy, groovey song mate. Everything sits nicely together in the mixdown, your harmonics are amazing, I would add more fx to add more atmosphere during the melody parts , the drop and vocals are amazing, I would love to remix this is you give me the chance lol! Everything is amazing nontheless, reminds me of daft punk, skrillex (melody parts). Keep it up

resik21 very nice song man, I'm really diggin this song man, it gives me a nice feeling lol. It reminds me of a beat for hip hop or a movie. The only thing I don't like it your midfreq square saw bass you got going on around 0:47. I personally would love to hear more subbass variations with more melodies and fx to make it a more melody, less midfreq bass song. That's my opinion. The kick is decent, everything sits well except for that bass, it gives me an odd impression on the beat, I would remove it if I were you but it's your journey my friend, nontheless a cool direction to an interesting beat

tgeReminds me of a dark temple in legend of zelda lol, the heavy dark sub tones with the eerie sound fx and voice fx. I find this song to be very dark but somewhat uplifting. I suggest add more variety to your drum patterns and more harmonics to compliment your ominous groove. even a nicely mixed mid freq bass that occasionally pop in your sequences to make it a more glitchy and futuristic vibe. I would imagine hearng this song playing in a dark or adventure video game

wayfarer__ Nice dark growls with the minimal futuristic vibe. Reminds me of excision and alien video games, I am really excited to hear the finished product. your kicks and snares are nicely mixed as well as your sub and miq freq basses. I would add more fx or perhaps glitchy sequences occasionally to create an even more advanced vibe to your tune. Everything is sounding great so far!

OKAY, so I managed to master and properly mix down my remix for 'Late Night Alumni' It has a very clubby vibe and am quite proud of what I have so far. I just need to add more melodies and fx synths and complexity +dynamics to compliment this foundation I've created. It has a very zomboy, skrillex influence on it, I can't wait to have my vacay in a couple days, means mad time for more songs like this!

thanks for the kind words brother.
sorry if its just my ears but does your tune get strangely quiet around the second drop, everything sounding fat though, nicely done. only criticism would be that your midrange is a little harsh on the ears, try eqing it to be a bit more flat, i suspect there is a frequency around 1k that pushing a bit harder than it should be. :4:

I am at my school at the moment with the shittiest ear-plugs known to man, so giving out proper feedback will probably be a bit hard. But, I will try my best.

@teejayem - Some very interesting stuff you got going here, even though I am getting sick of all the Skrillex influences. If you wanna make it more interesting, try constructing a more original bassline to throw in there as I feel that I've heard all of them before.

@KrEs - I really wish I could hear the bass on these earplugs, but unfortunately I can't. I really LOVE the "cow bell" thingy you got going in the background, really makes the track what it is, imo. Also the "break" at around 0:31 is just spot on! Great work mate, keep it up! :D

@tge - The pad in the background is amazing, though it seems to me that it's a bit messy from time to time. Total shit? You kidding? To improve it I would throw in a "dungeon" kinda bassline.. I think that would give it a nice feel. :D

Sorry if my feedback haven't been that usefull, but these ear-plugs are litterally the worst I've ever been using. ^^

So here's mine. Still needs some work, but I have improved it quiet(?) a lot since last I posted it on here:

Yeah, that's all panning do and no problem mate.

Panning can be very effective. Try panning some of your hi-hats.. Not like all to the left or right or anything like that, but more randomly to both ways. Don't overdo it though, but you'll hear that it can give a nice feel to the drums and make them more interesting. :D
