Having a hard time mixing subbass and midfreq bass together

I'm having a difficult time making my subbass and midfreq bass sit nicely together, you'll hear especially at 1:05 when that midfreq womp comes in, I really need some help if anyone can hear or point out the problem?

I haven't listened to your tune as I am a bit busy however, I suspect it is an easy to solve problem.

The most important thing to consider when getting sounds to sit well together is your use of eq. EQ is vital.
A quick fix would be to eq out all of the higher frequencies in your sub and the lower freqs from your midrange.
If the frequencies aren't all trying to compete for the same space in the mix then there will not be such a big problem.
Hope this helps a little.

This, but if you're using a pure sine for the sub then I wouldn't lowpass it/eq out the higher frequencies it. A sine doesn't have harmonics so there is nothing to filter/eq. The filter/eq will only act as a volume control when it reaches the frequency of the fundamental;-)

yep
I`d say the other way round applies.
EQ the Lows out of the Mid-range

I kind of meant that to be honest. Some people make their subs in different ways so I think that point should have been covered too. But, yeah Eq is vital.

What do you mean... the only practical way is use a sine, with other synths and basses high passed

12dB/oct high pass at 80-100hz on your mids (depending on where your kick hits, and where the sub is sitting). done.

Sidechain that shit.

When sub plays, duck the midrange in the 100 and below frequency range.

Maybe I love my wee peak controller too much.

Super experimental.

I have a thread here discussing the track, and offering you the chance to remix it, more details in thread! See what you can come up with!
