Re: DSF SAMPLE PACK COMPETITION - 34
This sample pack is brilliant, so constricting. Making some awesome sounds from it so far.

There were actually more samples in the original pack I compiled, wub (or a mediafire error) must have edited it down.
But glad people seem to like it!

Nope, what I received from you is what got uploaded, no editing on my part.Naan Bread wrote:There were actually more samples in the original pack I compiled, wub (or a mediafire error) must have edited it down.

Re: DSF SAMPLE PACK COMPETITION - 34
interesting, I had a bunch of 808 samples and a 909 kick which I must have somehow missed out.wub wrote:Nope, what I received from you is what got uploaded, no editing on my part.Naan Bread wrote:There were actually more samples in the original pack I compiled, wub (or a mediafire error) must have edited it down.
Could re-up if people feel strongly about it but happy to leave it as it is.

awesome pack..

I'm not doubting it is meant to be a challenge,i was simply stating the pack is a bit empty compared to previous packs. In a way it will be interesting to hear how people process the 1 kik or the 1 break in the pack.Electric_Head wrote:that`s kind of the pointlloydy wrote:In all honesty this pack isn't the best, the last few have been rammed where this one seems a bit bare bones,is there really only one kik or am i being a tnuc.Probably the best mid range bass tones in here out of the last few packs but i feel a bit short changed when it comes to the drums.Saying that at least it will be a bit more of a challenge.

Or people could be really fancy and make their own kick from what is available - waveform shenanigans.
Or....*GASP*...not use the kick at all...
Re: DSF SAMPLE PACK COMPETITION - 34

Nope, serious.
Re: DSF SAMPLE PACK COMPETITION - 34

Second entry has been received...
Re: DSF SAMPLE PACK COMPETITION - 34
I'd recommend doing this even if there are no immediately noticeable problems. Everything seemed to work fine, but for some weird reason the cabasa sample locks up my computer when i load it into GA1 in cubase 6.ehbrums1 wrote:I got the same thing in reason.... The only way I know to fix it is to open them audacity and export them back into the folderCubicle wrote:Opened them up in Logic first with no sound coming out of the ones listed above.wub wrote:Nope, checked all the samples prior to uploading the pack.Cubicle wrote:I'm not getting any sound out of the Basses, the vinyl his, the pad, and the other long note samples.
Don't know if anyone has the same problem?
Then I opened them up in Reason and I got the "Unsupported Format" error even though they're all wav's.
yea so blah blah blah windows sucks blah blah blah cubase is lame. anyways, after running it through a batch converter it worked fine. maybe the headers got corrupted or something?
Re: DSF SAMPLE PACK COMPETITION - 34
dropping 3 or 4 samples into audacity and bouncing them out takes less than a minute

Loving this pack.
I find these competitions really bring out my creativity. Plus, HAVING to make everything out of the samples provided makes me really delve into the depths of the FL sampler. It's amazing what you can do with a little (or a lot of) time stretching.
