There aren't many DJs or producers who really carve out their own niche sound but West Norwood Cassette Library and his WNCL Recordings have been doing just that, wowing us with a blend of lo-fi grit and futuristic vision. DJing entirely off vinyl and freshly pressed dubplates, his style crosses raw house, techno, garage and breakbeat, roughly hewn and thrown together off the cuff. Introducing new and unreleased tracks from the likes of Karenn and Randomer, plus a forthcoming label track from Kevin McPhee, his podcast exudes a rugged charm and ceaseless energy which, in our opinion, is quite like nobody else out there.
