My setup sound good?

Hey all. Going to start producing somw dubstep/breakbeaty tunes. Ive got flstudio which i have been using the last couple of days to make beats. Which i then exported as .WAV files into cubase. I had never used flstudio before but it seems like a decent piece of kit to put beats together. For synths i have got NI massive which i havent had a proper play with yet but seems to be a popular choice by many producers. I have a m-audio oxygen 25 midi keyboard on the way to use aswell. Ive had a mess with the prologue vst in cubase which seems pretty good for synth.

A question i have is. While creating my tunes if im using growling voices or wobbles ( excuse my terminology) do i need to layer a humming bass underneath if so what plugins r reccomended. Or will ther be plenty of sub coming from the synth?

You are going to want to cut the sub frequencies from your main synth with an eq or a filter and layer a pure sine sub under the main synth bass. You can use any synth to make a sub bass because any synth can produce a sine wave. Just boosting the low frequencies of you "wobble" or what ever tends to get a bit muddy and strange sometimes. You can just duplicate the instance and track of your synth bass and remove all the FX and turn the oscillators off except for one oscillator which you should make a sine wave.

Cubase? I wouldn't do that... But if you are happy with it, stick with it!
The export thingy isn't really a good idea.. You will be stuck in your loop! Try making your beats in cubase in cubase? Or export all the different parts of the drumloop, so you can change some things in cubase!
NI massive is cool a beginner (and advanced) synth, because there's so much information about it + It's a beast of vst!

About the growling shit... First of all, just don't do it! haha (I don't like it, but ya just do your thing!)
Second: There isn't really an answer on your question... Sometimes there will be enough sub, sometimes there isn't and sometimes there is to much sub!
You will have to feel it yourself... If there's enough: let it be. Not enough: any synth will do, just use a sine wave in the lower octaves! If there's to much: cut it out with an eq or a filter!

Thanks for replies. I dont really understand what you mean by getting stuck in my loop. Im thinkin aslong as the tempos are the same i will be able to right beats and push them together in cubase. Im using cubase because i already have it and software isnt cheap
