Problem with Mozilla Firefox

Post by unwind » Fri Feb 03, 2012 4:49 pm

For some reason I can no longer use the rather convenient method of pressing the 'enter' key after typing a URL to go to the page. It literally does nothing, was working fine up until a few days ago (I think there was an update round about the same time, maybe something to do with that?), any other firefox users experiencing this?

Yep, happens with me, seems the only way around it is to kill the process too.

Sometimes I'll be there on facebook (or any site that you can enter text onto) and I can click the box and type, but the cursor doesn't show, and as you say, the enter key doesn't work.

Firefox updates really need more solid testing. That plug-in container is fucking shit too, at least I can disable that though.

Grrr the plugin container drives me nuts! Flash player always freezes the browser. Just recently figured out I can end the plugin container process and it'll immediately start responding again with the "adobe flash player has crashed, please refresh" message.

Before that I'd have to wait for super long for it to start responding or restart firefox and wait for my 70 tabs to load again.

kids have it easy these days ... i remember when netscape 4 crashed and your 25 tabs were lost for ever, so you never did find out about all those exciting things you hadn't got around to reading yet ...

Sometimes it's over a hundred. Can get to be a bit stressful when you have so many. Usually it's shit I've been meaning to read. It's almost a relief when it crashes and I have to start over.

Most I've ever been is like 15 tabs...and that was only for a research paper.

Yeah big up Jesus for dying for our sins and netting us a public holiday in the process.

Also, hot cross buns.

Internet explorer is soooooooooo bad like omg.

Opera is near flawless. Smooth operation. Minimal useless toolbar shit. and it has a turbo button if your computer is acting up.
