So I'm looking at picking up a new laptop for DJing/Production. Looking to spend around 500-700 (CAD) and aiming for a PC since my production software is FL Studio (and a MacBook is quite far past the budget). Started browsing and became hip to the fact that Firewire seems to be a discontinued option on most PC laptops. This is an issue since my audio interface, the Presonus Firebox uses that.
I suppose my question is pretty generic, basically: What are my options?
Anyone know of any PC laptops (preferably in said price range) that are sticking with Firewire?
Would it be better to look for a USB-based sound card than searching for a special laptop?
Can the firebox be run as a USB device? (shot in the dark but figured I'd ask).
Any suggestions welcome.

chek laptops with expresscard slot,you can buy firewire card to that slot,problem solved.
