Add my name to the list of people getting rekah as their first vinyl

If this is the future, it seems highly livable: shiny, cool and comfortably dissonant. Like a low dose of ketamine in an empty, luminous airport hall in northern Japan, eating avocado and waiting for the universe to arrive.

I don't know about washing hands and not touching grooves. To me everything about a record calls out to be touched. Hit it with a brush when it's dusty. The cleaner they sell is just distilled water mixed with rubbing alcohol. You can make your own. If you have really dirty groves you can clean them with wood glue. Pour some wood glue on the record and peal it off when dry.
Store them upright away from sources of heat. But really the most important thing is not to put a scratch across the grooves.

I'm so pumped, I just copped the Smooth Skin / Wind Tunnel and I Sed / Hooby off Surus!
Isn't it true that all the medi represses don't come with the colored sleeve? That's a real fucking bummer

As far as I know they don't, no. Got the previous repress or restock of Disko Rekah a couple of months back in a generic black sleeve.

I think it's just the represses that come in plain black sleeves...

Yeah I got that repress too in a black sleeve. I haven't heard word back from anyone who got any other repress other than Disko Rekah though. Having that bright lime green sleeve for "Smooth Skin" would make my day.

For cleaning, I use 1/3 part 99% isopropyl alcohol, 2/3 parts water, and the tiniest amount of washing up liquid. Makes vinyl shiny as fuck again, no finger marks. But remember to let them dry/dry them before playing!

Innit, don't know where all this chat came from regarding not touching the record etc! Records are there to be touched! Vinyl is pretty resiliant, I've dropped records on the floor and all sorts, and everything is still in good condition.
Storing records upright is definitely important though

That looks solid, do you think it is possible to use a midi controller, with turntables. Like use the midi controller as a mixer if I needed?
