I would kill Massive, shag FM8, bum Camel Phat, and marry Reaktor.

If only FM8s interface wasn't a complete cluster fuck.

There's always Camelphat Free and Camelcrusher. I love Camelcrusher, it makes its way into everything.

And yeaf it's a distortion/compressor/filter effect.

Of Massive or FM8, I'd say FM8 but they are equally great in their own ways. If you like FM synthesis FM8 is great, and being able to load DX7 patches makes it amazing.

Massive is my goto for crazy modulated sounds though. Funnily enough I like it more for evolving atmosphere and pads than bass.

Massive is my go to. If I need a specific sound, and it is not better created with a specialty synth, I'll go to massive. I go to other synths for inspiration, or looking for random quirks, but to actually materialize a sound I need, Massive is the spot. Awesome interface.

Truly believe fm is like next level. Subtractive is so easy, saying that it puzzled me for years, but that was before the whole of human knowledge was instantly accessible. Fm is hard and remains so.

Only if the end user lacks knowledge and creativity, you could say that about most synths.

Too true.

Also in the video.

99% of people are going to listen to a track with Massive in it and not have any idea, and when you tell them they'll be like what the fuck is massive?
The only people who give a shit are other producers who are angry that everyone is using Massive because it's such a great synth and they want to use it themselves but don't know how to use it creatively or in a way that they didn't learn from a youtube tutorial, which is what 90% of them do.

As hilarious as I think it is that everyone's on the FM8 tip now, I don't actually mind because the kind of person who migrates to FM8 because Massive is too "rinsed" now is the kind of person who won't have a fucking clue how to make anything good with it and will have the hardest time learning it XD

I actually still use FM7 over FM8 quite a bit. Interface is important to me because I find it inspiring. The white/grey FM8 reminds me of a Virus Snow or something. I love that FM7/DX7 look, I tend to make different sounds in it. NI don't seem to be fans of user customization. I remember we had a large thread on the NI site about skins when FM8 came out but NI never responded of course.

The first people that are goof to hear your song IS other producers on sound cloud. And I've been on "the fm8 tip" since about 2010 before any video or thread existed on FM8.

Lol yes, and Kontakt to an extent with Kontakt Instruments. I meant the VSTi synths interfaces of course.
