I watched the Tim Burton Planet of the Apes last night. What the actual fuck. I was expecting something related to the Rise of the Planet of the Apes but this made that look like a masterpiece. Ending made absolutely no sense either. I guess I can count it as a blessing I've not seen the original as some of the fanboys of that seem to think this is one of the worst films of all time.

Yeah big up Jesus for dying for our sins and netting us a public holiday in the process.

Also, hot cross buns.

That Tim Burton one was crap yeah. Give the originals from the 60s-70s a watch, at least the first 2 as they are the best. The 3rd one is alright, but I'd suggest only watching 3, 4 and 5 if you really love the first 2. They have a campy old scifi charm. If you are into the old school scifi aesthetic you'll enjoy it. Think like Logan's Run, Twilight Zone, Brazil type stuff.

My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.

Shame
absolutely corruscating,
makes me want to forgo wanking
for the ups & downs of relating to a real meat woman again
(or, as Jack Nicholson said, a little less crudely, "to be a better man")
and how good is the acting & direction...
Nobel Prize worthy & maybe Oscars

and Whip It!
bodineaciously inspirational:
I want to become a girl & take up roller-blading

best two flicks i've seen for ages.

Watched this one again. Has to be the 4th or 5th time I've seen it now.

Image

Obviously not the best thing I've seen but I really enjoy watching it from time to time. There's just something special about it.

Does anyone know any similar movies btw? I still haven't ever seen The Blair Witch Project... is it worth watching?

Not really. The whole movie feels like its building towards something and then it just suddenly ends. Big let down.

No idea but about 70% of the jpgs in this thread don't work for me, how about writing out the title as well as a picture? Get along of my films from here, would be useful to know what people are actually talking about...

Agreed, Didn't get Marion Cotillards story at all, jus thrown in the ending for her like he'd forgotten all about her story arc! Also a bit weird demonising Jude Law, yeah watch out for the money grabbing internet loon, he's the real problem...not WHO or anything oh noooo, they're super upstanding and not questionable in anyway.

No. Maybe if you watched it in a cinema with full on surround Dolby and then had to walk home through some woods, it might be worth a watch.

But watching it on a small screen, you get no sense of forboding about it, and the ending it just meh.

Bob. Bob had bitch tits.

Think it's something like he was a steroid taker during the 80s who made a shit ton of money off some sort of home gym workout kit thing, then when he stopped doing the steroids his body over produced oestrogen, giving him titties.
