I picked up 2 immaculate 1210s for £350 and to be fair, some folk here might say i over payed haha. Theres a reason they were produced for over 30 years...

Thats what I use. 4 deck setup, 2 sl1200s with a traktor s4 as a midi controller/4 deck mixer.

i got 2 1210's that simply needed some new RCA's for 400$ (250GBP) also if you ever have a vinyl that needs resurfacing you should use either a microfiber cloth with solution, or wood glue.

So you can pretty much play your own vinyl, and play songs from your hard drive. Yeah that's exactly what I want, does the traktor s4 have outputs that the s2 doesn't have?

Yeah, thats how I use it, will post a pic sometime. With the s2 it's only a 2 deck controller and no inputs, so you couldn't hook up your tables.

I have one vinyl haven't played it yet, it's even wrapped in a plastic foil.
The question is: is storing it horizontally (on top of an old hi-fi atm) okay? I had it almost vertical for a while, next to the wall, but i figured out that would prolly warp the record so i just put it on the hi-fi.
As it's on flat surface and it's only one record, it should be better, right?

I don't think having one record horizontally is going to do it much harm. I keep a few of mine horizontally under my decks on top of each other when I am mixing/finished mixing waiting to be put away.

The cleaner they sell is just distilled water mixed with rubbing alcohol. You can make your own. If you have really dirty groves you can clean them with wood glue. Pour some wood glue on the record and peal it off when dry.
Store them upright away from sources of heat. But really the most important thing is not to put a scratch across the grooves.
I love how much of a troll that sentence looks with your display picture

A small stack of records horizontal isn't a problem...it's when you've got a stack of 50 or 100 kept that way for a long period of time.

my mate bought The Danny Weed - Creeper & Whitney Houston - It's Not Right mashup and hes not taking it out of his house Another one of my mates bought an old DMZ and had it framed. It looked like a "in an emergency, break glass" record
