Indeed, that is a seriously good snare.fused forces wrote:Dunno about dubstep, will have a think about it, but in drum n bass its gotta be "ed rush, fierce an optical- alien girl" for me
I noticed, while at JMT last night, that the snare in Wu Tang Clan Ain't Nothin Ta Fuck Wit, when played on a decent system, indeed ain't nothing to fuck with.
And within dubstep (sort of), it's Fram by Blawan. That boy knows his snares.

that snare is terrible. if that wasnt a deep medi release, it wouldnt get the hype its been given. real talks
Re: What's Your Favourite Single Snare in Dubstep?
It's my favourite tune of the year so far and I haven't been feeling a fair bit of recent Medi stuff, so your argument is moot.TopManLurka wrote:that snare is terrible. if that wasnt a deep medi release, it wouldnt get the hype its been given. real talks

Re: What's Your Favourite Single Snare in Dubstep?
nah that snare is terrible though. some ukf drum
Re: What's Your Favourite Single Snare in Dubstep?
Sounds nothing like anything I've ever heard on UKF... It has way too much character and tonal quality for that, most of the UKF snares you're talking about just sound like over-compressed white-noise

the knowledge is a great shout.
i know it's not really a snare (well it's definitely not) but that sort of metallic (keg bashing) sound in iceman by perverse. love that sound, hope they are actually hitting a metal barrel with a plank of wood or im gonna be so disappointed...
