Favourite Metal band?
I'm thinking mine's currently Cradle of Filth, purely because they have such good melodys and song structures which people don't appreciate because they seem to hear 'unconventional singing' and instantly dismiss it as shit, when in actuality Dani Filth has an amazing vocal range and is an amazing singer

Cradle are one of the most ridiculous live shows I've ever seen. So much power and energy, despite the vocalist sounding like he's mid castration! lol
These are mine...
Sunn - for pushing the boundaries of what is considered metal and for their emphasis on bass frequencies.
Crowbar - metal in base form worshipping at the altar of weed, whiskey and Sabbath. Pure, uncompromising riff heaven.
Kingdom of Sorrow - Kirk from Crowbar and Jamey from Hatebreed. TUFF band.
Knuckledust - treading the fine line between thrash metal, hardcore and metalcore. One of the most intimidating live shows I've ever seen. Clocked at least 8 dudes with broken noses and teeth missing last time I saw them.

Re: Favourite Metal band?
favourite live band probably has to be Machine Head, seen em 3 times and every time they smashed it

Yeeeah man, knuckledust shows are certainly intimidating hahaha but any of the LBU/Rucktion bands put on terrifying shows to be fair, bun dem out & prowler was a scary experiencearktrix wrote:Knuckledust - treading the fine line between thrash metal, hardcore and metalcore. the innovative nexus of guitar/bass lead Zepplin to set the standard
but, now, near extinction,
Cathedral's prioritization of slow & heavy makes them my favs.

I don't really listen to metal anymore. The closest I get now is The Mars Volta

you know that, deftones at the brixton academy was one of the best gigs i've ever been to... the fact it was before the smoking ban helped as wellBNanni wrote:This.Electric_Head wrote:Deftones
