@Blu2 Nice feel to it, loving the pumping synth, can't help but feel it needs to be less muddy and a bit more EQ'ing just to stop the bass drum clashing, sounding a bit muddy, also, maybe try changing some stuff round, making it bit more interesting etc, otherwise looking good :)

@Acro Sounding good, really nice atmosphere, maybe bring up the drums a little bit, really digging the the bits at like 2:40 sounding good, not really anything to fault, other than in personal opinion make big bass drops hahaa, but that's just me ^^

@Eye-Sic Again liking the reggae feel and the vocal samples, the wobble's aren't really my kindda style but it flows well man!

Okay, this is a track that I started making only a few hours ago, so there's little to no resampling, EQ'ing or even mixing really haha, but feedback would be amazing, because for once I'm happy with how this tune's going! Feedback REALLY appreciated, thanks!! :D (Also, Logic bounces quite quietly, so you may wanna turn it up reasonably loud for max effect ;))

*Edit* Also, ignore after 1 minute, didn't mean to bounce that much haha, that's not even meant to be there and will almost definitely be changed ^.^

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback on my previous track again.

Here's my feedback for everyone else:
@ScarletCyanide: I can't shy away from the fact that your intro is entirely build around the lead for Knife Party's Fire Hive, imo that's a bit of a cheap move. Unless your remixing/refixing a track I'd stay away from sampling songs of the same genre. As for everything else, things sound a bit messy. You need to bring out your snares more and cut the muddiness out of your synths. Also work on stereo imaging.
@blu2: Nice intro man, sound'd quite mau5esque overall. I'd work on EQ'ing and compressing your drums. Also don't be afraid to drag the intro out for a longer amount of time before your bring some drums in back in. I'd also work on maybe panning your hats around, and maybe play with some filters on your synths.
@Acro: Quite a trippy intro, your hats/cymbals sound a little messy though. Your drop is quite cool, but I think you should tone down the white noise, and almost dim everything into a silence before slamming back in with your arp. I'd also work on the levels of your arp and bass with the drums - the drums disappear at some points. Interesting track.
@Brisance: Nice chilled intro, I'm not really feeling the synth after the drop though. It sounds too noisy and a little too repetitive. I'd work on variation and your bass sound.
@Eye-siC: Production sounds good, although the drop sounded kind of empty. I like your ideas though, just work on finishing it up.

---------------------------------------------------------

Here's my latest WIP, it's not dubstep, it's at 88bpm. What do you guys think so far, btw I know the main sectors need more variations.

Soundcloud

Track was mixed on headphones, and very roughly mastered, some things probably sound shitty on other peoples systems.

Any comments, feedback and plays/comments on SoundCloud is really appreciated :)

Thanks. :W:

thanks for the feedback. I never eq for some reason. I'm going to have to find a spot for it in my work flow.

and I like the track you put up. made me laugh :D I would make the drop a little harder though. four to the floor after the drop and I bet it will sound nastier

I'll pan the hats outwards and work on eq and compression. thanks, it's good to hear some good feedback :]

@ mthrfnk- I'm working on the final mix. I dried up the reverb on the hats considerably and fixed the white noise. Are you suggesting almost like a low-to-hi filter sweep before the drop? that might be cool :D

@blu2
Real nice intro, i agree with the above, maybe make the intro longer and check your eq's are tighter - some more compression work on ze drums too man

@Acro:
I like this one, some more work on panning and layering your hats a bit more, try and aim for a crisper sound. Nice drop too, but less white noise!

@Brisance:
Im not conviced that is the right synth for the job, it sounds a bit unclean to me. Need some more variation on it too brother x

I want to know if somebody can get this on their monitors and give me a headsup on if the bass is get enough presence. Its a headphones mix down

Thanks! :w:

@Scarletcyanide - a pretty cool build in this, the glitchy layers are a nice touch to the chord progression. not to sure about that drop though, after the 1 minute part lol.

@mthrfnk - sounding pretty smooth man. i feel like that main synth in the body could come up a bit, the one that sounds sidechained with the kick. i think the first section is good where its at, just variate that second one an you've got a sweet track here.

@kontrol - isn't this an FL demo song??

posted a bit back with this tune, im guessing its just about done.. needs work on the second drop.

@ScarletCyanide : Dude that is definitely one of the most interesting sounds I have heard in a long time. I like the off tune feel I got. 'maybe make the sounds fit better. Other than that awesome tune.

@mthfnk : Such a chill song man. I love it. My kinda music right there. I wish I could do what you do. Someday. Anyway I cant really give advice when you know it needs to be mixed/mastered better. I will be waiting for the finished product.

@jimbeaux : Awesome vocal samples. That liquid sound is awesome and works really well in your song. I really enjoyed it.

So I'm not really sure what I'm gonna do with this song. If I'm even going to finish it. Oh and there is no sub yet.

@Gaol
Nice bass sound, the rhythmic structure is too simplistic, you need to work on it. Imo you shouldn't break your melody like that, try to make it longer. Snare is too quiet and kinda weak.
Try making a melody first and then apply a beat to it, this simple trick often creates nice sounding intros :D
@jimbeaux
Lsd, lol. Nice sounds, man, melodic parts are awesome. The drop kinda lacks power though.
@mthrfnk
Really nice track, good progression and stuff. And it's so warm, lol :D. Maybe you should shorten the middle part? Or add vocals :D

Guys, i really need your help on this one, since i have been working on this tune for two months now and might not notice some obvious flaws. I really need some feedback to complete it. My mixing still sucks, yeah.

@Kongret: Overall, really nice tune. There's something about the snare that just doesn't seem right. I dunno if it's too loud or if the sample's too long or something like that. Only other critisism I have is that the drop doesn't seem to lead into the next part very well. Other than that, really sick tune.

@Gaol: Really nice bass, moves really well. The snare seems a bit damp though. Nice dark vibe.

@jimbeaux: You've got some really nice bass sounds in there. I think the drop needs a bit more buildup but just my opinion. Really nice drums aswell.

Latest WIP. Wanted feedback before I did anymore. I suppose it could be section under brostep. Not properly mastered and the mixdown needs some work.

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback on my previous track again. @Kongret I'm glad you said it sounded warm, that's my aim :P

Here's my feedback for everyone else:
@kontrol: Your track is unavailable?
@jimbeaux: I remember listening to quite a few WIP's of this. Nice work, except your synths still sound panned Right on headphones - phase or delay mismatch? Vox are really nice though.
@Gaol: Your drums seem out of synch, add some hats t ocarry them if thats what you want. Your main bass synth needs mixing better it seems way too loud with a little too much distortion. You also need to work on mixing everything together. At the moment it sounds as if two tracks are playing over each other, match up the melodies, use call and response with your basses and synths.
@Kongret: Oh wow, really nice intro. One thing about the intro: I'd turn the main high synth down a touch just to blend it more. As for your drop, your synth work isn't really my cup of tea - everything seems a little too mashed up, maybe tone down the aggresion down a little. You obviously know what your doing, just need to get everything sounding right.
@Living_Tragedy: Quite a nice little remix. Your synth work sounds nice. As you mentioned, it needs mixing better, your drums are drowned in some parts. I'd also work on stereorizing your cymbals. Nice job.

---------------------------------------------------------

Here's my latest jam, it's "dubstep", well it's at 140bpm. I just wondered what do you guys think so far, not sure if I it's worth finishing up. Also I realised the intro marimba's make it sound like Bass Cannon after I uploaded, I'll have to switch the instrument to something else :6:

@mthrfnk—I like what you have a lot, but I’m also listening on headphones so I can’t give you great mix advice. I feel like the snare could cut through the mix a little more… right now it sounds a little too far in the background. But I like everything else a lot.

@Gaol—That little synth bell melody in the background that comes in from :25 to :28 has so much potential… but I don’t like how it finishes its phrase after :28. I’m not sure if you know what I mean but it starts off sounding major then after :28 it turns minor.

@Kongret—Everything you have so far is really good but the snare sounds out of tune or something. Maybe transposing it one way or the other would sound good, but I’m sure you’ve already tried that. Maybe layering with a crash would work… who knows.

****I would love some feedback on this***** It's my "finished" first song, even though it's far from finished. I can't mix very well so let me know what you think.

@mt16 It's a pretty cool idea but the snare needs some work. Some "body", you know what I mean? But I like the vocals.
@mthrfnk Really like the drums on this one, especially the snare. By the way, mixes on Headphones don't mean anything unless you've got bad ones :)
@Living_Tragedy The drums need to come out way more. But cool high-pitched synth I guess.

Latest Demo/WIP:

Mainly need some feedback on the mixdown, as I keep hearing little things and coming back and ajusting. But I've probably listened to it way too much anyawy :D

@rymebox : Digging what you have done so far, first thing ive noticed is before the drop 0:18 or so the little vox you got there is cool but also comes off as kind of eclectic and well didn't make much sense to me the first time I listened to it. After the drop you've got the little simple synthy melody playing in the background which is a good idea and I'd highlight it somehow by using an interesting filter on it and making it a bit more noticible. Apart from that nice job.
@Living_Tragedy Nice track man, listened to it twice and well don't have much to say except again what people have said already that the drums need to come out more.
@ScarletCyanide: Yes I can see the influence Knife Party's Fire Hive had on this man! Some things sound a bit messy, I'd add a bit more punch to the snares and use EQ to get rid of the muddiness in some parts. Apart from that good job!

Here's mine, nothing special and I know there still is a lot of work I should do with it (like making the vox better adding reverb proper EQ and controlling volume levels)

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Feel free to keep the comments coming. My WIP is the track in my sig. I totally agree with the comments about the intro not fitting the song too well, I think i'm gonna try to go with a more heavy approach introwise when I spend some more time on the track. Also, have to agree with the comments about variation in my bassline, definitely need to have a go at variating the bass more, especially in the second drop. Anyways, thanks for all your feedback so far, it really helps to get a second opinion from other producers. I'll definitely try to take all this feedback and come up with a better end product. =]
My latest WIP (Feedback is GREATLY appreciated)

@rymebox heaaaaavy man, all i would say is that you over-did the laser sounds a little
@mthrfnk this is super nice to listen to dude :D dont worry about the intro marimbas, you wont get sued over it, and in my opinion they sound perfect :D
@jimbeaux really fat sounds man, maybe try to throw in some more melodic elements i would say, other than that i like it :)

heres one ive been working on, feel bad for posting electro here but whatevs. Im planning on sending it in to get mastered, but i wanted to get some feedback on it before that, so shoot if you have any advice on the mixdown or anything like that :3

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback on my previous track again.

Here's my feedback for everyone else:
@Swaggr: Nice track man, everything sounds nice and clean. Good job on the mixing imo. My only criticism is that at times the track feels a little slow (especially in the intro phrase), I would work on the groove of the hats, maybe bring them out more and widen them. Good job on the basses at 3:00+.
@Someone: Intro is nice and chill, I like how you progress the intro. Personally I feel the vocals don't sit perfectly on the drop. I also think you should vary your bass synth either by playing a more melodic sequence or by chopping it up with similar basses LFO'd differently. Work on it and it could come out as a cool track.
@rymebox: Your intro is too good man. Drop is heinous, what synths are you using for those squelchy basses man, theyre spot on. Imo the mixdown sounds good, except for the cymbals/hats - to me they're definitely frequency clashing with something else thats cutting them outthe mix. Please finish this track, I wanted more :P
@mtl6: Nice intro with the vox and filtered bass. Considering the style of the track I'd give the snare more punch and low end, maybe layer it with a low tone snare and push that eq at 200hz :P I also think a pulsing pad in the background would give you some more body. The vocals make this track tbh, good job using them.

---------------------------------------------------------

Here's an update on my previous track, any more thoughts? Personally I'm really struggling to get everything sitting tight, I know there's a lot of frequency clashing - I need to sit down with a fresh pair of ears and redo the EQ's and mixing.

Someone- Smooth intro. This sounds super quality bro. Drop to me needs cleaned up a bit but i like it alot.
Swaggr- Big ups man I love this tune, Solid intro and just a killer vibe. Dig the switch up around 2:00 and beyond.
Mthrfnk- Love the overall atmosphere, Percussion feels right to me. Personally not feeling the drop so much but that is of course just me.

Now here is my latest WiP, my first shot at a DnB toon, pretty liquidy if ya ask me.
Any Feedback is greatly appreciated, Cheers ;-)

@blu2: haha nice happy sounding tune. Maybe the kick could be louder, IMO.
@Gaol: The snare sounds weak and is too quiet. The rhytm is kinda simple, i think u need to work on it.
@Kongret: Overally the tune sounds nice. Maybe in some parts the drums go too messy, or its just me dunno. But yea, nice track

Here's my latest WIP, again messing around with vocals. Dirty things this time.

Love your drop man!!!!
@Rucker23
Can't find too much wrong except maybe the fx at 18 secs maybe move it to 20 sec point. Pretty fluid nonetheless
@Maza1
I think the you need to smoothen what you got going on at 1:36 so it sounds smoother. I like it though
