Trying to get my hands on a fan edited extended version of The Godfather trilogy. You know, edited in chronological order with all the deleted scenes put back in.

Must have seen that before I die.

I thought the massive letters on the poster saying "Dave Chappelle in Half Baked" and the video title would be enough?

It's just that apparently some people can't see the pictures for some reason... So they have no idea what film we're talking about.

That sounds pretty serious.

It is! And I know that it exists, I just haven't found a way to get it yet. Apparently this version clocks in at about 9 hours and 50 minutes for all 3 films...

Cos I've got the trilogy on blu-ray and yesterday I was browsing through the bonus disc for the first time and noticed that it had all the deleted scenes on it, which I had never seen before. And after watching those I could tell that they would really add something to the storytelling because they made me understand certain scenes a bit better now. It also surprised me how many scenes with Brando were actually left on the cutting-room floor...
So yeah, I would really want to see the entire thing now with those scenes in it as well.

Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind

Really enjoyed this one, the drawing and animation is really topnotch and otherworldly, and the plot is strong. :Q:

what is of value and wisdom for one man seems nonsense to another.

Godfather to be re-released to cinemas in 3D soon after Titanic.

Ugh. Not a fan of the post process 3D stuff. Barely a fan of 3D in general. Worked great with Pixar's "Up" and the stop motion "Coraline". Other than that, no thank you.

Yeah you should definitely go and see it then mate. Honestly.

Not sure what to think of The Godfather in 3D though... I don't really see how that would add anything to a film like this.

I wish 3D would just die out again like it did when they originally tried to introduce it in the 50s

Yeah big up Jesus for dying for our sins and netting us a public holiday in the process.

Also, hot cross buns.

Especially a 3D remake of something like the Godfather.
Total waste of time.
My kid doesn`t even bother with 3D, he thinks it`s a waste.
In general I can only imagine it being appealing for something like Avatar or similar movies high in graphic content.

Yeah exactly.
I mean, sure, the 3D effect would add something extra to certain films, but seriously, most of the time it's just used as another way to earn money off the success of a film.
Same thing this time, The Godfather in 3D? ... That's just completely useless.

Well the picture quality on my DVD's ain't great, especially the first one. But I hear that's to do with damage to the print work they have and all the others got destroyed or some shit I can't remember.

Also I went to see it in the cinema when cineworld had it on their silver screen thing. Me and my mate were the only people in there so we sat at the back and did bare ket and watched it. Was pretty weird .
