DNB:
I have the amen break chopped up and loaded into a sample pad, so I mess around improvising with it a lot. (similar to 0:42 here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nu7PnZtBJf4&ob=av3e) I mix this in with my acoustic playing a lot.

I'd prefer a track that sounds more like this style though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqC2k5yBlc8
I like those two dnb tunes a lot. I already hit you a PM, I'll send you something without drums and you can tell me if you want to play on it

Not that vague to me.

I produce techno stuff, so I'm not really looking for live drums :) Fat setup you've got though.

man, this sounds awesome. working on something now which might work, i'll definitely send you a link when it's done.

funny, i was talking to my djent friends recently about combining (bro/dub)step and metal. in theory it could work but there's always the danger of winding up sounding like korn... that The Algorithm tune you posted was interesting but... i don't know.
to shreds, you say...

Any step-like beats that are rapper accessible such as this are welcome too. (Drums are very real-drummer style approach)

Op, if you have the time, go on my soundcloud and check out the song "abduction". I think it would sound great with live drums. I'm pretty good at replicating them (if you listen to the track in my sig) . But real ones will always sound better.
