Valor Appreciation

Post by Cornbreadddd » Thu Feb 02, 2012 6:57 am

Hey guys, just wanted to make aware those who may not already be of an amazing soulful producer by the name of Valor. His tunes are some of the most tastefully unique tunes I've ever heard. His first release was on the first Dubliminal compilation and is an 8 minute tune full of soul and beauty, pure vibes. It's entitled "Soulstricken." Here is the juno link where you can listen to it / buy it. Such an amazing tune and probably my favorite that I've heard to date from Valor. Sorry I couldn't find audio on youtube for this one.

http://www.junodownload.com/products/du ... 746270-02/

After this he has recently released another one on Dubliminal, two HUGE tunes entitled Mad Tea Party / Martian Mushrooms. Huge, Martian Mushrooms is a 9 minute tune that gets so amped up and mind blowing towards the end that I don't know how anyone couldn't be feeling the amount of energy in the tune. Mad Tea Party is also typical hugeness from this man.

Here's a short snippet from Mad Tea Party / Martian Mushrooms, but you can also find it on juno!

He released a free tune for new years called "Slipping In and Out of Depression" for new years, definitely check the x-mas freebie thread and cop that one, lovely tune.

Basically I really love the style of tunes this guy is making, something refreshing, musical, and soulful. Apparently he also has an album coming this year, so be on the look out for that! Hopefully he's got lots of nice and long 140 musical masterpieces cooked up for us!

Valor is amazing. Check him out if you wan't something interesting.

I know! I can't wait, I think he's got an EP coming out before the LP though, regardless, I just need more.

Safe for the support all of you. I've only got those 3 tunes released but you can check http://www.soundcloud.com/drvalor for unreleased & forthcoming tunes. Also a few mixes there. Keep an eye out for the pre-album ep coming out sometime next month or April & the album out later this year both on Dubliminal Records. Easy.

I honestly can't wait! I've been listening to the soundcloud bits forever, can you confirm anything about the EP? I'm really really hoping Jovial Lounge is on it, that tune is flawless, so beautiful. Really can't wait to have more of your music in my possession.

I feel a bit of a bad vibe about doing this but since today I just sorted out the last pre-master for the EP sure haha why not reveal what I BELIEVE to the final tracklist of the EP in celebration.

In no specific order it's:

Jovial Lounge
Valorian Laboratory
Ozone Retreat (formerly known as Reduce Me To Tears)
Seismic Disruption Cannon
Gemstone Mine
Woogie Oogie

I also have a name for it as well but I'll leave that for the label to announce with the date. The album is also nearly finished tracklist wise but far from done mixdown/engineering wise haha so that will be some time. The EP is basically done though & due out soon.

HOLY SHIT! I'M SPEECHLESS!

I literally can't even gather my words due to the huge amount of elation, happiness, and being so excited. The fact this is probably going to be a 6 tracker makes me more happy than words could explain. I'm hoping at least one of these is one of those nice long tunes, but if not, it doesn't even matter. Too excited for this and as a huge supporter/enthusiast/dick-rider of Valor, I really can't wait to get this!

Endless support for Dubliminal
Endless support for King Valor! :h:

It's DEFINITELY going to be at least 6 tracks. I wanted to do a sort of mini-LP to make up for the abundance of tunes but lack of releases over the years. Not one track below 7 mins man. The average time of each track is probably around 7 & a half to 8 mins. LOL dickrider you know, llow it man if you like the music then that's all there is to it haha.

Wow, I hope I don't wake up and find out this was all a dream. A 6 track EP will be PERFECT to hold people over till the album drops and even much longer after that seeing how great and timeless the music is. Also the nice long tunes means that it gives plenty of the time for the groove to set in and the rest of the tune can just develop and take my head on a fucking musical journey to a Valorian utopia. So happy all the tunes are over 7 minutes, that's more than I could ever ask for, this is going to be the perfect EP. Easily my favorite producer at the moment, definitely bringing something completely unique and from what I'm hearing this EP can't come out soon enough! CAN'T WAIT FOR THE RELEASE DATE! AHHHHHHHHHH

That one's Frank Jaeger, release wise I can't see this one coming out for a while because it was supposed to be a Gangsta Boogie release but Heny is tied up with his own stuff atm, so idk when he'll be releasing other people's tunes. Just have to keep watch for that one I guess man, sorry I don't have more info.
