Teeza - The Set Up EP Out Now (Review)

After the last couple of weeks of promotion we’ve seen from Teeza and DJ Cable, today we finally see the release of ‘The Set Up EP’, on Triangulum Records.

Now to give credit where credit is due, Teeza’s work rate already this year has been at a level which is impossible not to acknowledge. Already in 2012 he’s put out four instrumentals for free download, featured on Spooky’s ‘Allstars EP’, Rossi B and Luca’s ‘Mind The Gap EP’ and TRC’s ‘Leak EP 2.0′, without forgetting the ‘Temix EP’ he put out in late 2011. For this very reason, we think it’s fair to say that the West London producer is certainly one of the hardest working producers in Grime at the moment.

Without speaking too much about his past though, let’s get back to the release. The EP contains four instrumentals, some of which you might already recognise after being vocalled from the likes of Shorty, JME, Blay and Maxsta, with the most important factor being, that after you listen to each track you automatically know it’s from Teeza without any of them sounding too predictable. Resulting in another solid release that Teeza can add to his already impressive back catalogue.
