joeki wrote:yeah someone said it correctly, this is good background music at best, bar around three of the tracks which are good enough for my standards. I think there's nothing on here an EP wouldn't have fixed.

Having said that, it's been getting good reviews, so I guess I'm missing something.

In reference to what I said: three posts above mine.
In reference to the good reviews bit :

xl8r : 7,5/10
BBC Music : generally favourable review (bastards don't give out marks)
NME : 7/10
ClashMusic : 8/10

Personally, I'd give it a 6 at best. :U:

I'm loving this album, definitely understand the background music comment.. but sometimes i really enjoy albums like that. Just an album i can stick on and it flows from start to finish. There aren't exactly many songs on the album that could be picked out for single releases but as a whole thing im really enjoying it.

Also there has been quite a bit of house influenced dubstep but i think this has a more trance feel to it.

Definitely a decent album, suitable for walking through a city I've found. The Hope is a massive track, but for now at least, I reckon Triangulation was a stronger effort.

Not bad, but Triangulation was much better. 'The Hope' is my favorite on this album.

Have listened for the last week of so in full and singular tracks is mixes - agree with the sentiment of background - feels to me like didn't go far enoufht towards 'adrenalin' territory. Then again that was a a slice of euphoric prog house and appeals to my hooky disco taste. Just lacks a little personality IMO could of been a wicked few singles instead. Anyway biggles scuba I know how much u love forum reviews lol. :w:
