Re: Alien
Intro goes on for too long without a beat. The 'BASS TREBLE' sample is far too loud. Kick/snare are very weak and repetitve. The mid range bass noises sound completely out of key with each other.
Not really a whole lot I like about this tbh.

Re: Alien
This is quite amateurish. Terribly mixed. No structure or direction. The audio equivalent of throwing 5 different colors of paint on a canvas and calling it art.
Re: Alien
There was no need to say that was there, especially coming from a mod.wub wrote:Not really a whole lot I like about this tbh.
Anyway, it sounds like your using a Midi keyboard to input your notes, try " quantising " them afterwards to put them all in time because i noticed towards the end of the track some things were not in time at all. If you dont understand quantisation or how to apply it i would just go into your piano roll manually and place the notes in position yourself after recording.
good effort your clearly new to producing, golden rule is never give up we all started somewhere! It takes years to get to a standard where you can release tracks and have people really dig them.

Why not?obzen wrote:There was no need to say that was there, especially coming from a mod.wub wrote:Not really a whole lot I like about this tbh.

He asked for feedback, I gave my opinion on the track. The fact that I'm a mod is irrelevant.
Re: Alien
I would hardly consider saying you really don't like a track as constructive, if everyone else posting posts for the same reason a me it is to gain critisism on the production itself for instance sub bass being to loud etc.
I would also disagree about being a mod is irrelevant, I used to browse these forums daily until every thread ended up being a flame war because someone liked brostep and I think it's your job as a mod to be friendly and welcoming and not shoot a beginner down in there first post on the forums. We all know when your literally first start producing you need to really encourage them because you know how hard it is when first starting out and it sometimes feels like your useless and will never get better.

My original post had plenty of comments re; the mixdown.obzen wrote:I would hardly consider saying you really don't like a track as constructive, if everyone else posting posts for the same reason a me it is to gain critisism on the production itself for instance sub bass being to loud etc.
Didn't consider it shooting down - and again, if anyone posting their dubs in the 'Dubs for Feedback' forum doesn't actually want honest feedback, they might consider not posting.obzen wrote:I would also disagree about being a mod is irrelevant, I used to browse these forums daily until every thread ended up being a flame war because someone liked brostep and I think it's your job as a mod to be friendly and welcoming and not shoot a beginner down in there first post on the forums. To be fair, I don`t believe Wub's job is to stroke people's egos just to help them feel better about themselves.obzen wrote:I would hardly consider saying you really don't like a track as constructive, if everyone else posting posts for the same reason a me it is to gain critisism on the production itself for instance sub bass being to loud etc.

No-one patted me on the back and made me feel better about myself.
I just got stuck in and work hard on improving.
If someone had told me there was nothing they liked about what I had produced, I would make it a point to firstly work hard at improving and secondly try to prove them wrong in the long run.
I don`t believe it`s Wub's job to be nice to anyone here, he`s a mod to keep things tidy and respectful.
He is giving an informed perspective of the music.
As he says, if you don`t want real feedback then why post the track for the public to hear.

Yes, I'm using a midi keyboard and also using sonarx1 for the first timeobzen wrote:There was no need to say that was there, especially coming from a mod.wub wrote:Not really a whole lot I like about this tbh.
