Just noticed that, not happy. If WUpload goes as well...

WUpload is gone as well :(
Wupload is working for me. Did you get a message on their site?

Old south park documentary that was in my browser history, still works.
South Park supports filesharing too, but their network doesn't.

hmm, weird. I'm getting file not found pages whenever I'm doing a new search, but your link works fine.

might as well lock off the internet. at this rate you'll only be able to read things you can't do, if you're not already in prison.

'privacy' is a dirty word these days

So what exactly is the deal with ACTA? I know its been signed so does that mean its already in full effect? Is there anything to do to try stopping it at this point or is the interwebs completely fucked? :?

It has to be approved by voting in the European parliament before it can be implemented (at least in the EU) - people are saying that if we prevent it from getting through the European parliament the whole thing will pretty much fall apart. So there is still a reason to keep fighting :4:

It hasn't changed anything yet. I'm pretty sure it just means that it will be discussed at a higher level sometime in June.

Also the southpark heads... if you want southpark you can watch every ep on their website for free. If you're non US then all it takes is a proxy

Lulzsec hackers arrested by FBI

Post by wub » Tue Mar 06, 2012 6:11 pm

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-17270822
'Lulzsec hackers' arrested in international swoop

The suspected leader of the hacking group Lulzsec has pleaded guilty to carrying out high profile attacks on several companies.

Hector Xavier Monsegur had been charged with conspiracy to engage in computer hacking according to unsealed court papers filed in Manhattan.

Reuters reports that the charges were filed via "a criminal information".

The news agency says that suggests that the suspect - nicknamed Sabu - had co-operated with the government.

US law enforcement officers have said a total of five people were either under arrest or being sought.

Irish police added that they have arrested one man in connection with Lulzsec's activities and are holding him at a south Dublin police station.

The Press Association reported that police officers in Britain have also been involved in the crackdown.

Lulzsec, which is linked to the online activist group Anonymous, had claimed responsibility for attacks against eBay and Sony Pictures among others.

Last month Anonymous published a recording of a private telephone conversation between FBI agents and London detectives talking about Lulzsec suspects.
'For the Lulz'

Hackers claiming to be part of Lulzsec said they had carried out or have been linked to the following attacks:

May 7: US X Factor contestant database
May 10: Fox.com user passwords
May 15: Database listing locations of UK cash machines
May 23: Sonymusic Japan website
May 30: US broadcaster PBS. Staff logon information
June 2: Sonypictures.com user information
June 3: Infragard website (FBI affiliated organisation)
June 3: Nintendo.com
June 10: Pron.com pornographic website
June 13: Senate.gov - website of US Senate
June 13: Bethesda software website. User information
June 14: EVE Online, League of Legends, The Escapist and others
June 16:'Technical disruption' to the website of the CIA
June 20: The website of the UK's Serious Organised Crime Agency (Soca) taken offline by denial of service attack

Saw this this morning.

Seems to me that there's a very calculated, coordinated effort being made to factionalize (or exacerbate existing schism lines) Anonymous and turn them against each other. The tone of the BBC piece I read laid subtle but careful emphasis on the fact that it was an informant within Lulzsec that provided the information to the pigs.

While I don't always agree with some of the tactics I hope that the larger Anonymous corpus manages to hang tight, because they have such potential...

lulzsec was amateur hour (if that wasn't obvious by their name), it was only a matter of time before these clowns got arrested...

take a look at that list.... oh wow, they can ping back unsecured user data. so can a monkey. as soon as they're faced with any obstacle they just ddos them for a couple of hours.

all sizzle, no steak

LulzSec are a separate entity from anonymous.

They threatened his children so he gave away information. Shame really.

Huh - I knew that the lines between hacker groups are blurry and ever moving but was under the impression that Lulzsec was a group or faction with significant overlap of membership with Anonymous (both having come from the swamps of Chan-land.) Everything I'm reading says you're right, though.

Threatening kids is just the beginning of what powermongers'll do to maintain their death grip.

Sabu was a friend, but after this he can fuck himself. I've been contemplating for the past 4 hours whether or not to hand myself in to lessen the charges. I've no doubt Sabu grassed me up. We'll see in a couple of days.

Funny thing is he was caught on the 7th of June, yet he released one of my attacks in the final LulzSec package on the 26th. So he was already working with the FBI at that time.

Biggest fucking prick on the planet.

No point. I'll be handing myself in in less than an hour. I've got Scotland Yard on my case for virus creation which I spread on Facebook and stealing over 100,000 passwords on Facebook. I've no doubt Facebook disclosed my inbox to the FBI.
