recording internally on sound card...help!

hey

jus trying to work out how to set up my soundcard so that i can sample from a dvd thats playing in my pc without plugging in cables from the out to the in.

any ideas?

i've heard u can do it on cubase but i dont know how!

you should be able to do this with any decent .wav / mp3 recorder. you just need to change the recording options to record from "master mix" rather than microphone.
You can do this from Speaker Icon > Options > Properties > Adjust volume for recording....

what is the model of your soundcard? it might be that your it doesn't let you record from the monitor mix, which would explain the error from that program.
