A single gunshot is still loud though, especially in a quiet countryside environment with no traffic etc.

There was still some gunfire on the farm in previous episodes. Why didn't those sounds travel..

I guess this forest is a mile or so off.

Maybe they did though, Zombies are pretty fucking slow.

thats my interpretation of the situation... hershall didnt have guns up untill these guys came, and overtime (like at the first campsite) they've followed the sound.

I forget, were they shot in the head? It seems like you don't turn into a zombie if you die of brain injury.

^plus it takes time for a body to come back, its never been an instant thing. Sound carries over miles aswell, so after all the recent shooting thats been going on its no wonder its attracted a horde (like in the comics).

I thought maybe Shane got scratched or something and it was slowly developing which is why he was going crazy and trying to kill everyone. And infected the kid when he was manhandling him.

Why aren't people liking this season? This is some of the most enjoyable TV i've seen in years.

People complain how its too slow and not enough gore and what have you, is that really it? I dont think this is supposed to "shitty generic zombie b-film: the series". The whole series feel like a big budget movie, doesn't even feel like im watching a TV show. Just dont get why people aren't liking this? At the end of some episodes im sweating cus of the drama!

I can only comment on the first half of the first half of this season - the characters are unrealistic, boring stnuc and I found myself just wishing they'd all die. But alas, they all just stood around chatting absolute shit. Dull.

I completely agree. Second half of the season is getting a lot better though

I got a feeling that Hershel is going to get taken down, the result being the group taking over the farm and huge amounts of sex for Glen.
