Korn were always wack as fuck, Hi, I'm a homophobe. teenage angst music for little queers who were "going through a rough time", "struggling with adolesence", "hating their life" "slitting their wrists" etc.

That whole nu-metal movement was fucking terrible. Linkin Park? Papa roach? Limp fuckin Biskit? SHIT. But Korn were the worst, they thought their music was "deep" and "touched youngsters with issues" when in actual fact it was just shit.

"OMG i went through such a hard time as a teenager, i was bullied at school, mom and dad were fighting all time and i hated my life, but Korn got me through it, i proabably would have killed myself were it not for them. I love Korn, they saved my life"

^Kill yourself now. Theres still time.
That kinda shit happened to me.

And do I fucking slit my wrists? No.

Don't be so quick to assume, I have trouble imagining that actually. The plot of the film seems more fitting with darker 2-step garage (at least in my mind)... I hope so anyway, would definitely give a much more truthful and accurate image of the underground scene and culture. Either way, its something I want to see :)
hollywood... u really expect subtlety?
It is premiering at the Sundance film festival... the films there are more on the artsy side... I wouldn't be surprised if there was a bit of subtlety, doesn't seem too unusual really :/
Wow this actually going ahead? Yes this will be shit, i will probably watch it to see how shit it is, which is financing the people who made the film and if everyone done that (im sure a good few people here will be curious) they will think they done a good job. Which they did not.

"the American sound"? Are you fucking kidding me?? Do you not see how few Americans there are making any dubstep? There are more producers making brostep in the UK than any where. Rusko invented brostep for crying out loud :/ You cant use Skrillex to represent all of brostep Thats just fucking dumb... yea offense taken

Deftones were the only acceptable band out of that whole nu-metal scene (if you don't think about shit songs like "back to school").

The "those producers aren't even American!" argument has been made before, and I agree, but if the brostep sound is played out massively more there, then I could see why calling it "the American sound" makes sense.

I rate Lincoln Park as well, although it's in sort of a bad part of town; but other than that it's aces.

System of a Down? An obvious Zappa influence on those guys especially with the stuff on Mesmerize which is always a plus in my book.

No, it will probably be about the music played in America... the commercial, bill-board music in America.

Then it will pretend it's 'underground'.

What.

Hybrid theory, Meteora and Reanimation are good albums, i still listen to some of that sometimes, and i kind of liked 'what i've done'

That said, their recent output is crap and that jay-z thing wasn't that good either

Could never stand their music personally... Never got the hype about them. Thought they had that "omg we're so weird" gimmick going on (at least without having to pun on masks and make-up).
