When I was really young I noticed some of them bend drastically to the left or right, and put it down to pulling on it with a single hand. I wanted to avoid that.

Haha didn't know the actual name, but yeah when I got older I figured it wasn't literally from using only one hand. By then I had already mastered the art of switching though.
