Do you like Basshunter? (Remix of The Basshunter Song)
This is a WIP remix, I didn't start from the intro, I started from the verse, I've only been working on this for 2 days, not constantly, aI think it's great as a WIP, may need some EQing, But, I like it. Soundcloud
Re: Do you like Basshunter? (Remix of The Basshunter Song)
To answer your question: No.
Also I don't know how to put this, but EQing probably won't be able to help you there. It's sounds like a 64kbps MP3 downloaded off Youtube and driven through a high pass filter.
That's only my opinion, but Basshunter's tracks lack any considerable sound quality to begin with. Now if you take that and layer some low quality samples on it, while turning the volume incredibly low and... Doing whatever else it is you might have done there, you're bound to get a... Downright horrible result. Also you marked the genre as Dubstep on the 'cloud, whereas it clearly is not.
I understand you're new to this and by no means take my words as discouragement. Just read up on mixing, equalization, filtering in general and get to know your sound quality. For future reference, 160kbps isn't a good bitrate to use in your renders.
Keep at it!

As I said this is a WIP, I didn't download it off of youtube, I took his synth from his original song, Mixed it up a lil, used massives Burning Saws, with some editing, and It is dubstep, just no drop YETShaion wrote:To answer your question: No.

I very well understand that it's a WIP, but the sound quality is horrible. Thus the reference of as if it was downloaded off Youtube, also never claiming you had actually done so.
For what is worth, the drop is really not an issue here at all. An unfinished-sounding Supersaw accompanied by a four-on-the-floor beat with a typical Hands-Up kick, however... Really doesn't fit the genre specification of Dubstep as such.

I don't think this can be a banger if you leave it like this. The bit rate should be at least 320 k if you export and so should the bit rate of every sample you work with. I tried to seriously listen and find mixing flaws or tweaks you could do but i can't make that out at this low bit rate- only that synth patch at the end- i suggest you lose it and replace it with a sustained sound, no attack, no high pitched trance-y hypersaws please (personal preference, i LOATHE hypersaws nowadays). And yeah, I don't like Basshunter either, they put too much emphasis on their (in my ears) weak lead sounds and they make tonal arrangements yet have nothing more complex in store melody-wise than notes that are already in their chords and the maximum length of a "melody" if you can even call it that (again just note repetition and notes from the chords) is 4 beats... So No. Sorry for being off topic.
Here's what I sound like

FACE PALM!!!! I haven't been paying one bit attention to the Bitrate whenever I export -.- I'll be sure to do that from now on.
