How to get my wobbles to stutter in FL Studio & Massive?

Post by Aznjosh » Mon Mar 19, 2012 2:34 pm

Hello everyone this is my very first post on this forum and I hope that you can be of assistance to me. So I am really at loss as to how to get my wobbles to get that stutter sound. Here is an example:

http://soundcloud.com/barrondubstep/bar ... -up-to-100

If you listen just after the drop like 56-57 seconds you can hear what I mean. I am currently using FL9 and of course Massive.

Thanks for any input you guys have! I really appreciate it.

retrigger, or resample it back into your daw and do the cutting yourself.

Square LFO's, or just draw them in yourself.

I also just started producing and I found out the easiest way is to use a plug such as dBlue Glitch. It has some really cool features that you can all automate. :-]

So would you guys that re-sampling is how most producers go about this?

Oh lord.
Sometimes. Re-sampling as a term is pretty misused now. It can mean bouncing (rendering to audio) your bassline to save cpu, or it could mean sampling something to add effects to the audio instead of the midi. Have you read the huge guide to producing dubstep?

dude, open gross beat on your synths mixer track and click the 1/4 beat gate option it'll load up a synced noise gate that makes everything sound like this
