My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.

I just fell a little bit further into love with Rosario Dawson.

Updated my online CVs on Friday after getting enormously pissed off due to work having too great an impact on my weekend-swag.... had calls for 3 pretty promising sounding jobs today! :D

Edit: Though leaving your desk to take a private phone call every 20 minutes is not a good look. Agencies - spread your calls out!

Clearly, I'm putting my CVs in the wrong places.

... or you're going for better jobs than me! ;-)

I've had most success with JobSite and JobServe in the past... but I dunno what they're like for non-IT people.

90% of the jobs on job sites seem to be IT-related in some way.

One of the guys at my former workplace used to have to deal with this crazy indian guy who kept expecting us to build and ship out machines costing upwards of £500k without having sorted out the downpayment. This guy is one of the calmest people I've ever known, and even he managed to get seriously riled up, to the point of practically having to shout back down the phone coz he was being insulted so nastily.

Had to go through the portuguese forms some time ago, they take aaaaages to fill in and sort out.

.... and apparently they all share information anyway... just had a call from someone who'd seen my CV on Monster. I've never registered on Monster!

How long before I get the awkward call from my current employers?

Hahahaha! Another one of my ex-colleagues was looking for a new job, and got hauled in to see his boss and HR. Apparently, one of the silly agencies had submitted his CV back to us for a job!!!

It's probably because the entire country's bankrupt and they're stupendously desperate for the money.
