Amazing VST for dubstep wobble HELP!!

Post by Tylias » Fri Mar 23, 2012 12:47 am

Hey guys! right now i currently use NI Massive 1.0.3 (old version i know) for my bass synths, however im looking for a really good alternative just to see if i like using another plugin better, i REALLY love using Massive, but it would be awesome to try something new. If you know of any amazing VSTs for making Dubstep Wobble Basslines (Heavy and Calm) (FREE would be amazing!) reply with a link and/or tips :) thanks alot!!

A. Save up for a legit version of massive before you go getting cracked versions of other software.
B. Ham VST is your best bet. the oscillator presets are far more organic sounding than massive's, and the filters are more intuitive. It was essentially made for wobble basses so its the best tool to have. The fact that its free makes it better.

I think it's discontinued man. You might be able to find an old .dll of it somewhere.

Legendary though...

FINALEDIT: Apparently the whole Ham thing is a joke XD haha

Go with something like z3ta, massive, albino... loads of great synths out there. Oh and Zebra.

Ham vst doesn't exist. They're all trolling... I would read the manual and really get to learn massive before just jumping to something else. But if you must have something, FM8 is great if you have the time to devote to learning it (it's additive synthesis so it's time consuming, whereas massive can make great sounds straight out of the box)

Z3ta 2 is an incredible synth
The D-cam synth squad can make some great sounds too

These are pretty much all I use. Also check www.kvraudio.com and either go to the plugin rankings or the plugin database. there's a ton of different info on all different types of VSTs, including a lot of links to freeware synths and effects.

Ham vst is probably the most quality synth to reach the plugin world. You can get your hands on a copy if you search hard or talk to the right people. I believe it's sold ont privately now and not by a retailer now.

And I second zebra2 it's an amazing synth
