i think that's why it got moved here, so it can only be read by members or summat? should be in the trash, as both sides of the argument are circular. who the fuck cares really?

move it to 'other music' then

but in all seriousness, this thread couldve turned alot worse, atleast (in terms of arguements) there has been a fair amount of logic used instead straight trolling

The thing I don't understand is why they insist on calling it dubstep? They should be "proud" of what they "evolved" it into, and then give it their own term. Alot of the brostep/Skrillex fans think that "real dubstep is boring", which is kinda true, seen from their point of view. It's almost the oposite atitute, why do they want to be asosiated with "that boring dubstep"? .....and why dubstep? why not call it blues? it's all evolved from there ..or african tribal music ...it's "oh so evolved, and we are sooo openminded that we will keep the original genre name, and if someone says it's not like the original/"real" stuff, they are narrowminded"...

Anyway, genre terms are annoying sometimes... they are useful, but often used in wrong ways ...back in the 90s (and probably still) it was the term "techno" being used about all sorts of nontechno..
